It says it’s wood. Even on the box it says it’s wood. In fact it even says the grain may be different which makes you think it’s real wood. It does not say it’s manufactured wood which is very misleading. And it most definitely is cheap manufactured wood. Be careful when assembling as I knocked one of the screws out making that one unusable. Thankfully able to use without that one. It’s really not well put together like other companies that make these kind of flat box furniture. Sadly, while putting the top on, a wooden dowel, yes, the wooden one, went through the top and made a hole. Kind of unbelievable actually. But it’s made and since I’m at the end of a ten month water intrusion construction fiasco, I just don’t want to deal with going back. But I don’t want you to have to deal with it. So don’t buy it
