I had to return this one. I just couldn't get the hang of how to use this. I like to wash my makeup off in the shower and for it to be sudsy. I felt like I had to use A LOT of product.

This was recommended by Penn Smith as a first cleanse so I went and bought it. I enjoy the oil part, but once I add the water to emulsify the finish my face goes sahara dry and squeaky clean which I hate. Couldn't figure out what was causing this dryness even on my fingers after washing then I saw clay is in it the it all made sense. I wouldn't buy this again because my skin type is dry, but if your oily then maybe this will be great for you. Also it irritates my eyes.

The cleanser does not remove makeup, it’s intended purpose. I will use it up as a cleanser first thing in the morning versus makeup removal. This is one of the few Honest beauty products that has disappointed me.

I wanted to love this so badly!! Its amazing at removing makeup but it leaves such a thick oily film on the skin (It feels like I took a handful of olive oil and rubbed it all over my face) that takes several washes to remove.

Does what its supposed to use. For me, its a bit better when use a reusable microfiber cloth to remove. Not sure if I'll buy again, but it does what it's supposed to do and since only use a small amount at a time I think this will last a while!

This product does not wash off my eye makeup at all! I use mineral fusion and W3ll People eye makeup, so more natural products, and this does not get it off. Definitely have to use another cleanser to get it off (I use the gentle cleanser by Honest, and that seems to do the trick) so I don’t see the point in using this product if it does not take off my makeup. It also leaves my skin feeling like it has a slimy film so I would have to use another cleanser anyhow.

This cleanser is a real find. I have sensitive, dry skin prone to hormonal breakouts - lovely combination. I tried oil cleansers for a while as a first cleanse, but they irritated my skin over time. This clay based cleanser is much more effective as a first cleanse, gentle and non irritating. Glides on smoothly onto a dry face, and then you add water to lather and rinse. Takes off makeup effectively, to prep skin for second cleanse. Leaves a film and won't rinse off completely, but follow with a second cleanse and you're all set!

This feels amazing on my skin. I start with applying it on my skin with no water. This product goes over my eyes but doesn’t sting. It makes my skin feel soft and clean. I don’t wear a lot of makeup so this cleanser tends to be my only one. The description notes you can use it as a pre-cleanser but I don’t find the need.

This is an amazing cleanser to remove makeup! And the price is great. I love this brand because they’re ACTUALLY CLEAN. At first I was worried reading in the description that you may wash your face with another cleanser, after using it to remove makeup but all that worry was gone once I actually used it. I even swiped my face with micellar water to see what the damage was and there was no makeup residue on my cotton pad! It’s also gentle on my sensitive skin. I will continue to buy this product. Thank goodness for affordable clean brands such as this. I dare even say it’s better than the biossance cleanser!
