Q: How cold does it make a room?

submitted by King - 7 years ago
  • A: I use the fan in my husband's office and the fan along with the central air conditioning system keeps the room comfortable. This room is a small room that usually is much warmer then other rooms in our home, therefore, I keep the fan going all the time when the outside temperature is 100 or more. It works very well for us.

submitted byKathy - 7 years ago
  • A: A.) We appreciate your interest in our product. This fan will recirculate the air in the room causing a breeze. It does not lower the temperature. We hope this is helpful. • A: It blows out hot air. Just picked it up on Oct 1st yesterday. Not cooling at all :( I have a 9mo old and cannot sleep right now throughout the night because of the weather.

Q: Is this tower fan water cooling?

submitted by Michelle - 5 years ago
  • A: No, this item is a simple fan. It circulates the existing air within the room, helping you to feel cooler, it does NOT cool the room. You might be thinking of a portable Air Conditioning/Evaporative Cooler Unit.

submitted byMike - 5 years ago
  • A: Thank you for your inquiry. This is not a water cooling fan. This is a whole room tower fan. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com. Thank you.

Summary of reviews

This fan offers a sleek design and multiple speed settings, making it a versatile choice for various needs. However, many guests have reported issues with noise levels, airflow strength, and overall durability. While some appreciate its quiet operation on lower settings, others find it inadequate for cooling larger spaces. The remote control functionality is also criticized for being limited and awkward. Guests suggest considering other options for better performance.

It’s a very good fan in my view. I like the multiple speeds. I live in a city studio and I find it to be very quiet (I work from home, so that matters) and it keeps things cool on milder summer days or when I just want to get the air moving, even when I don’t turn on the window AC. Baffled by reviews that say it doesn’t have cooling effects or quiet operation, honestly. My only quibble is I don’t know if there’s a good way for an ordinary person to get to the blades or insides or whatever to clean it. I know fans collect dust and hair, but I can’t see the interior and don’t know if there’s an easy way to take it apart to clean.

For a fan that’s marketed as super quiet, I don’t think it’s very quiet. The first couple times I turned it on it was quieter. But the more I used it the louder it became. The remote only allows for on/off, oscillating, and increasing the fan speed. Not setting the timer or turning the light on/off. You have to do those two on the fan itself which is just an unthoughtful design. I’ll be returning this for another fan. Just doesn’t suit my needs, especially for the price.

Unfortunately I didn’t see the reviews before purchasing. Stand is very cheaply made. Fan makes a rattling sound even on “whisper” mode. Output of air is nice, but wanted this more for white noise and there’s no sleeping with this thing on. Will definitely be returning.

Garbage I’ve had it less than 2 weeks and it’s broken I bought it because my doctor has one that’s amazing and he told me he had it for years. They are being mass produced the quality is terrible and so are the inner pieces I dropped it once when putting it together now I hear the fan grind itself constantly considering never buying Honeywell again. The fan doesn’t even work which is worse I have to tilt it manipulate it to get it to a proper angle…..

The fan itself works really well. One thing that I wish was different was the shape of the remote control. It’s just kind of an awkward shape. It is more of a horizontal rectangle and should be more of a vertical rectangle and it does not fit in your hand just right.

Has what seems like a light grinding noise at some points in the oscillation and it's random when it occurs with having an hour or two being quiet or only ten minutes, making it worse and useless at night. Air flow is mild. I need to put this model in a room that doesn't have a need to be quiet. Would not recommend.
