Q: the instructions say to freeze for at least 2 hours. Can you keep this product in the freezer permanently?

A: Yes Ms. Linda u could leave in the freezer until ur next use , but every time that I replace it in freezer u must leave it in for no less than 2 hours of longer . Sorry that it took so long 2 get ur question answered, by now u already know the answer or bought another product. In the future know that all I've packs could stay in the freezer until u need it again or unless the manufacturer states otherwise ok , I hope this helps u or some1 else with a similar question. The actual item is NOT the one pictured. It’s smaller and not as cute. If you are looking for the cute penguin in the photo you will be disappointed.

Pros: This penguin is really cute, freezes well, and can form to a curved surface (like icing a knee or elbow). Cons: it is small. Functional for small kids or small wounds. Also I wish it held its cold longer

I got this for my kitten because he recently had leg amputation surgery. The vet said to put a cold compress on the incision to prevent fluid retention and then a hot compress in a few days. He LOVES the cold compress. He just sits there and purrs and purrs. It doesn't seem too cold at all directly on his skin (I put it in the freezer). I haven't tried the warm version yet. It's nice that it can do both. The size is just right and it is cute too.

Item is not as pictured. It is an entirely different penguin. It works well but doesn’t stay cold for long. Perfect for kiddos!
