A: The Houdini Ice Tray was designed to make larger ice cubes for drinks. No, We would not recommend oven use. Silicone is quite temperature resistant, but the material is quite thin on the inside edges. If you have additional questions, please reach back out. Thanks!

Q: is this actually 2x2x2? the bottom of the tray seems to be slightly angled? can someone please confirm?

A: Ice Cubes are 2" x 2". Height is approximately 1.75". The bottom edge is slightly angled so the bottom part of the ice would be slightly less than 2".

Q: Is this made of 100% silicone? I need to know because it picks up smells and make the ice taste weird after a while, but you can get rid of this by putting it in a 350 oven for 20 minutes.

This was exactly what I wanted and for a great price. I wanted large cubes specifically for freezing orange juice since our orange tree produced so much this year. I freeze them, then individually wrap the cubes and store them in a large container in the freezer. I can't wait to see what else I can think of to freeze with these trays.

Our fridges ice machine cannot keep up with my family in summer... I just bought these and keep a stash in my freezer of these huge cubes. 2-3 cubes kwep my coffee or margaritas iced. wanted to love these but as the ice starts to melt the ice starts to taste like iodine. tried it several times with different drinks thought maybe it was some sort of interaction but regardless of whether it was water, soda, or a cocktail the end was still the taste of iodine

I have to make my 5 lb dog's food in batches and freeze most of it. I use aluminum foil to cover the tray. This large size is perfect for her food portions and it's easy to get the food out without any sticking to the silicon. Although I've seen complaints of the silicon taking on a bad scent after a while, it's not been an issue for me even though fish is an ingredient in her food. I put it in the dishwasher and if there's any residue from the detergent I just rinse the tray. I haven't had problems with detergent film on the tray either. I currently use Finish detergent if that makes any difference.

While ice balls are great for keeping drinks cold, let's face it: the molds can be a beating to fill. These ice cube trays are the perfect alternative and I've purchased several for the freezer. The large cubes fit nicely in a rocks glass and are much easier to fill and place in the freezer. This is such a great ice cube maker! It makes great square cubes. You can fill the tray full or half way if you'd like. The cubes stay solid longer in my cup. It's easy to carry when full of water from the sink to the freezer. The cubes pop out easily. So glad I bought this.

I love this tray! I got this for my cocktails but also use it for regular drinks. yes, the tray will make the ice taste funny after a while BUT I'm sharing the easiest way to solve that problem. I did this last month when my ice started tasting weird. I searched online and saw this is an issue for all silicone trays, this was my first one. cook's country recommended that whenever it your ice starts to taste weird, empty it, wash it and pop it in the oven at 350 for about an hour and you're done! no soaking in vinegar or any other crap that won't work. as long as the tray is oven safe, this one is because I've already put it in the oven, you're good. so yes, this is still 5 stars for me
