I was a little worried by the previous comments but the one buyer said it looks like the rotating problem had been fixed so I took the chance and ordered 2 poles. The notches make it not twist, the poles are sturdy and I put 4 batches of laundry on at a time and all was great.
The items were as described. Fortunately, I read the reviews first and was prepared to install the screws to stabilize the poles from twisting. Once this is done, the poles are stable and the lines may be tightened without twisting them. Neglected to read in the item description that this was not a ...see moreof the reviewer's review

the t-leg clothesline seems smaller when you get it. it's not the standard size that you are used to seeing. even after setting the pole in a bag of cement, it bends a bit from the loose fit of the pole segments.

I ordered mine in October not the best time but like it so far. We cemented a two inch by four foot piece of pvc piping leaving a foot above ground. Then put the clothes pipe in. This works really good and can be removed during the cold winter.see moreof the reviewer's review
BEWARE-YOU WILL NEED TO POUR CONCRETE FOR INSTALLATION

BEWARE - you will need concrete for installation! Instructions say to dig a 2 foot hole in the ground, place pole in hole, and fill with concrete. Really wish this information was available online before I purchased, clearly posted in product description.

Very heavy gauge steel! Modified ground install with 2" PVC so posts could be removed if necessary. Notched PVC and pinned Steel post so post couldn't turn. Yes some extra work, but well worth it.
