Give your child her first taste of independence and enjoy watching her ride down the sidewalk on the Disney Princess 16" Bike from Huffy. This 16" bike is the perfect first-bike for kids just learning to ride - the low-maintenance single-speed drivetrain pedals smooth and sweet with an easy-to-use and intuitive rear coaster brake. Wide training wheels in the back add stability and allow your child to focus on learning how to pedal, brake, and steer without having to worry about balance. Both training wheels can be moved to a higher position on the back wheel so that they only touch the ground when the bike starts to tip or they can be removed altogether to convert the ride into a big-kid bike when she's ready. A graphic crossbar pad covers the center of the handlebars for added protection at the front while the graphic Disney Princess chainguard protects fingers and clothes from the moving chain and gears inside. The Disney Princess bike's durable steel diamond frame and steel unicrown fork combine for a super strong and reliable ride covered by the Huffy lifetime warranty parents know to count on. A removable doll Carrier and handlebar streamers add a bit of fun!
Assembly was stressful. The Front forks had to be adjusted because they were too narrow for the front wheel assembly to fit in. Ended up With scratches on the forks because of this. Training wheels were a hassle to put on. The brackets that hold them in place had a lot of slop in them so I had to tighten the nuts so much that it cracked the paint.
The bike is perfect for princess lovers. Our 4y/o loves it. One downside, the decals started to peel off after 2 months of use (it was stored in the garage when not in use) and the tire tread is thin so it wore quickly and we had to replace the back tire. The carriage was the most difficult part to put together and the first time she fell it cracked, but it's plastic so you have to expect that.
The bike is very cute but coming to function and safety , hand brakes are very imp and this one is lacking hand brakes , plus the seat is barely adjustable .
for these reasons alone this bike is going back .
bought this bike for our granddaughter's birthday. I have never assembled a bike but this was very simple, until the carriage. do yourself a favor, trash it and buy a cute horn or bell instead. it's a very cute bike. granddaughter will be thrilled. side note: the instructions on the box are very simple to follow, unlike trying to make sense from the booklet, at least for me!
