Reading through the book (not having made anything yet), I'm not excited about the recipes. For ex. I've noticed a few using powdered peanut butter... is that a normal ingredient? I don't have it. I have regular (natural) peanut butter. Also, a lot of the recipes use Truvia or other packets of no-calorie sweeteners. I don't like to use these. I prefer to use honey, maple syrup etc. I don't even know what Natural Sugar-Free Pancake Syrup is. Also, a lot (if not all) of the recipes use egg whites. I'm assuming I can use whole eggs, but I don't know how many to use instead. I thought these were healthy, simple recipes. They seem more like diet recipes so I'm a little disappointed. I will say this is probably a good book for someone looking to learn how to cook, which is why I gave it 2 stars. But I'll be returning it.
