A: The masks are manufactured in China for ICU Health, an FDA registered company located in Hollister, California, USA.
A: I must disagree: on two of my masks one of the ear loops pulled off from the mask when I put it on; I stitched the 1st with a needle and thread but I probably will throw the second one away. I do not wear those often as I do not go out, except to pick-up my groceries in the Parking lot of the Supermarket. My car is a small hatchback so I wear a mask while the employee loads my order, just for both of us to be safe. However, I would rather they were a better quality and stayed in ONE piece! I am disappointed so next time I need masks I will shop elsewhere...although "good luck" trying to find something better than a Chinese import! :-(
A: in China. but they are good.
A: Only one of the boxes I received included instructions in English. It stated, "Instruction for use: Hanging the stripe on ear with blue side facing inside and bridge-clip up." This suggests the blue side is facing in and the white side is the exterior of the mask. Given the inconsistency between the prior answer and the printed instructions, can ICU verify how the mask should actually be worn?
A: Aimw - The darker blue side faces out. You'll know as you take out the mask, the pleats on the front will push outward in one direction facing away from your nose and mouth. Thanks for your purchase. Stay safe.
A: None, check the description. Non-medical.
A: MM- This mask is classified as non-medical so it does not have an ASTM level. It is most closely associated with ASTM Level 1.
A: Most products are made in China already. China has been manufacturing masks for a while, and they worn often in China and other Asian countries. It's not medical grade, but for community based wearers. Whether or not the material is safe depends on it being tested. If it is being sold in the United States I'm assuming it went through FDA testing regulations before being sold.
A: These masks come in 2 sealed bags in a box, with 10 masks in each bag. They look very clean and organized. On the side of the box, it noted" These masks have not been FDA cleared or approved. These masks may be used when FDA cleared masks are unavailable."
A: As a vendor for Target, this is not a question we would be able to answer for you. My suggestion is you reach out to the CDC or the FDA with questions regarding how masks help prevent the spread of infection.
A: CC - They should not have any smell at all. While this is a non-sterile item, they have been manufactured in clean space.
A: JSN - If, by efficacy, you're referring to the data results behind the particle filtration tests, we do not provide a link to these. However, in order to provide import product the product for sale we must use a manufacturer certified by the FDA, as well as maintain chain of custody recording as well as all certs required by US Customs. In products by which we are the manufacturer of record domestically, we must also demonstrate testing results and pass standards for the CDC, NIOSH and ASTM regulated products we sell. As a matter of history, we have been a Class 1 FDA supplier for over 20 years.
A: S - the padding along the top of the mask is noticeably thicker than that of the bottom, primarily due to needing to contain the bendable wire to conform around your nose. Things to check: Mold that wire over your nose and cheeks - keep your glasses at same temp as your environment & put your glasses slightly over the top of your mask. Should help some.
A: Samlin - Here are the dims: 6 ¾” across without counting the loops, 3 ¾” top to bottom with the pleats folded, 2 ¾” loops (elasticized). This is a very standard adult size. Hope this helps.
A: These are adult sizing.
