Q: How long do they stay frozen for?
A: It depends on how much is in the cooler that is not cold. If there's too much air, and the air is room temp or warm, the ice will absorb all that heat and melt quickly. In a small padded/insulated school lunch bag for kids, with one 12-cube sheet, wrapped around a juice box that came out of the fridge, and the other other thing in there was a box filled with Cheerios, the juice stayed cold 5 hours later at lunchtime. The key is to put the ice around things that are already cold from the fridge, and use a cooler/padded lunch bag that is not too roomy.

This is a tricky question because there are several factors that could affect the time that the ice can stay frozen for. For example, it can depend on the temperature from the cooler, how many times the cooler is opened, were the contents and the cooler pre-chilled etc. Therefore we can’t really give an exact time. Sorry, I know that's not the most helpful answer. :(

Q: can I cut them each and use them in a glass as if they were regular ice cubes?
A: Hi NatalieS, thanks for your question regarding the Igloo Natural Ice 2pk. Although they are food safe & non-toxic, they are meant to be used in soft-side and hard-side coolers rather than as ice cubes directly in a glass.

Q: Do these freeze solid or stay soft like some medical ones? I need one that freezes solid for a project

Q: Are these nontoxic ?What kind of plastic is it made of?
A: Hi K - thanks for the questions! The Igloo MaxCold Natural Ice 2 Pack is filled with pure water so it's definitely non-toxic & not harmful at all. The plastic sheet that holds the water is made of a material called Curlon (Grade 611-W). Q: Why is it called Igloo MaxCold, but the word "MaxCold" does not appear anywhere on the product. This is true of both the natural ice and the ice block.

Q: I need to ship a small container with liquid for a test overnight. Will be in UPS bag. Will these remain cold/frozen over 12 hours? Weather conditions in my are about 75degrees
A: Thanks for the question, DiO! The Igloo MaxCold Natural Ice may not be the best option since the conditions in the UPS delivery vehicle are unknown. A better option may be the Igloo MaxCold Ice Blocks. Hope this helps!

Q: The Caution information on the box says "Do not freeze below 5 degrees Fahrenheit". But the recommended temperature for home freezers is 0 degrees. If the caution is to be believed, the product is useless. What is the risk of ignoring the caution?

Q: How long before frozen package melts?
A: This is all dependent on how and where the product is being used. Under normal conditions (inside a cooler), the MaxCold Natural Ice Cooler - 2 Pack Lunch will stay frozen for up to 2 hours. Hope this helps!

Q: What is the dimension of the "pack", NOT each cube?
