Q: I apologize- this might sound like a dumb question- but I'm wondering if these ice cubes will become WET on the outside, as they melt?

A: Hi Lergas, thanks for your question regarding the Igloo Natural Ice Sheet - 1 lb. It'll depend on the internal temperature of the lunch bag or cooler you're using the ice sheet in, but it is possible that the ice cubes will get a bit damp as they begin to defrost. This is a tricky question because there are several factors that could affect the time that the ice can stay frozen for. For example, it can depend on the temperature from the cooler, how many times the cooler is opened, were the contents and the cooler pre-chilled etc. Therefore we can’t really give an exact time.

Barely has enough water in each cube. Each cube has maybe 1/3 water if not less. It froze well overnight but minutes after taking out it was already nearly melted. All due to it having big cubes, but nowhere near enough water to really last.

Repeat purchase: These work well for medical icing as sheets wrap around various areas with ease using a tea towel on outside. Ice pillows are large enough to remain cold for a while and are cold enough to penetrate casts and elastic bandages. I suggest buying 2 or 3 and rotating freezer/use.

Using this as a body application for heat flashes and anti swelling it was not so grand. I didn’t have high hopes for it knowing the price but thought I give a it a shot. The size itself is just right. Freeze pockets and space left in between make this pliable to fit around or on most any area of the body. However…yes you knew it was coming…the thin plastic is not trust worthy. Excessive roughness such as a tiny rock or accidentally sitting on it is sure to pop the pockets. That being said I would recommend this for someone who has hypersensitive skin or just needs 5 mins max of cold therapy.

This works great as a flexible ice pack for injuries in areas like your foot, ankle, otlr shoulder. Areas where you need a 'wrap-around' effect to make the most of it. Works best wrapped in a thin towel which also helps protect the ice pack from puncture. Don't expect it to last much longer than an hour or so as this is not a gel pack and you should not be icing your injuries for that long anyway.

I used this in an igloo cooler and it melted very quickly, in a matter of a few hours! The contents of the cooler were frozen foods along with food directly out of the fridge (so very cold!). By second use, there was already a pinhole leak. The igloo ice block I used in the same cooler stayed frozen, but this ice cube sheet does nothing. Just place ice cubes in a sealable bag for the same effect.

I’m not sure how well these work for in a cooler, but I purchased these over buying an ice pack wrap for my boyfriend when he tore his ACL. They’re they freeze up so well and wrap perfectly around his knee. I know that they’re intended to be used for a cooler or lunch box, but I loved how well they’ve worked as an ice pack wrap. I wouldn’t cut the sheet though, I’d worry that it may tear the cubes open which would be such a bummer. The price on these are great for a reusable ice pack!!!

This ice pack works fine as an ice pack-but it is essentially water in those little bubbles. It won’t necessarily keep things cooler for longer than water typically would. I almost cut through the seal when I cut a few pieces out, so you have to be careful when doing this. Like one reviewer said, it’s not too much different than water in a baggie. 3 stars because no product defect, but it’s not anything special.

I have never tried these as a cooler pack because we only use these for icing knees, ankles, etc. It freezes fast and when frozen its flexible making them the perfect ice pack for the body! no more stiff ice packs.
