Q: How long does it keep ice frozen? (Any info on how long you used it, under what temps, and how long items stayed frozen is appreciated!)

A: I have had one of these coolers for years of beach and boat time and its time to replace due to UV damage to the plastic, all over. Buying another. I pack with a layer of ice, 5 cans on there side, layer of ice, 5 more cans, top off with ice. At the end of the beach or boating day in the summer, last beer is cooler cold with ice. Best compact cooler I have ever seen.

Ice retention with coolers can be a little tricky. How long this cooler can keep ice frozen for is dependent on many variables, such as how much ice you put in it, what the temperature is of the items you put in the cooler (pre-chilled or not), how many times you open/close the cooler, etc. If you only use minimal ice & open/close the cooler many times, your ice will melt quicker. The temperature range for ICE retention is from 10 to 40 degrees F, while the range for COLD retention is 40 to 60 degrees F. Hope this helps to answer your question!

A: Hi Alex - thanks for your question & interest in the Igloo Quantum 12qt Hybrid Cooler! To be sure, I just tested this out myself to see if a half gallon of milk would fit inside the cooler. It fits inside but because it is just a slight bit too tall, the cooler will pop open if you have the milk jug standing straight up. If you slant the milk jug inside the cooler, it will fit & you're able to close the cooler. Hope this helps to answer your question!

I’m impressed, this affordable little cooler keeps items cold 24hr+. I stored cottage cheese and salmon in this for my puppy on a day trip and the next day, the cooler still had a good chunk of ice remaining in it and all items were cold. It has nice capacity and yet it’s also not too heavy. Highly recommend.
