Q: Does this work with the older model as far as adding cameras? Can I still use my old camera and add this in addition?

A: No, you can’t pair the older model with this one. Even the cameras. You have to have the newer versions.

A: You can replace the battery by opening the battery compartment on the back of the monitor unit, disconnecting the old battery, and connecting a new one. Replacement batteries are available on the Infant Optics website or through authorized retailers.

The monitor is fantastic! The video quality is great and we can see the baby so clearly. The monitor is also really sturdy, It has fallen off the table several times (oops!) and not a scratch or issue with the device whatsoever. What I really want to rave about is their customer service. Our monitor stopped working even after troubleshooting with custormer service. I was really disappointed because we have a friend who has an older model and hers has been going strong for 5+ years! We were a couple months past warranty and I expressed my disappointment to customer service. They agreed to replace the monitor! I was so impressed with their kindness, generosity and responsiveness. The monitor is back to working perfectly. I am confident that it will last a long time.

When we first bought it from Target, the monitor constantly said out of range and online would only say to remove smartphones or TVs from the path. We were ready to give up until we reached out to customer service. Within a couple messages, they knew the problem was the camera and not location. They shipped a new camera that arrived next day and it has been working PERFECTLY ever since!! I mean we can see him breathing the camera quality is so great. I wish I had bought this camera from the beginning

After using this monitor every day multiple times a day for almost 2 years, the monitor would no longer work properly unless plugged into the charger. I emailed customer service and although I was well past the warranty date customer service was extremely helpful and sent me a brand new device and charger the next day. With a second child on the way this truly saved us from having to purchase a brand new device. The camera is extremely easy to connect to the monitor and the screen provides an excellent image. It is also easy to connect the monitor to multiple cameras and will automatically rotate from one camera to the other consistently for those who have (or are planning to have) multiple children. I would highly recommend this product to anyone having a newborn or anyone looking for an upgraded monitor.

This product is a disaster - do not buy it. From the first time I took it out of the box, it frequently refuses to turn on. You have to manually take off the battery cover and unplug the battery wires, wait a few minutes, and then about 50% of the time it might turn on after that. It also constantly loses connection to the camera despite being in the same room, about 10 feet away from the camera. Truly a bad product.

I love that this camera has a dedicated monitor. Unfortunately, my monitor stopped charging. I contacted customer service and even though the monitor was out of warranty, customer service sent me a new one over night. Not planning on having any more kids, so I won't be buying it again, but I highly recommend it to friends.

I've had this baby camera for both my kids. It gives great panoramic view, night vision view and very portable. Although my first camera stopped working after two years, I was able to get a replacement because of reliable customer service and product loyalty. I simply can't live without this camera, add it as a must have on your baby registry!

We love our monitor! We didn't want a monitor that was attached to an app that we would have to be on our phones the whole time for. This is great because the Bluetooth reaches all around our house and even some places outside. I love that I can rotate the camera in multiple directions. I love the LED sound bar that lights up to alerts us if a sound is happening even if the screen is asleep and volume is low.

We have had our DXR-8Pro for almost 2 years and we love all of the functions and features of it. Unfortunately something got messed up and we couldn't keep the monitor on unless the power cord was plugged into the wall which was a big pain but everything else on the monitor worked perfectly still! Reaching out to customer service they were quick to respond and offered several options for troubleshooting, all ended up ineffective for our exact issue. However, even though we were outside our 1 year warranty their outstanding customer service replaced the monitor for us and all we had to do was send the defective one back!! Made ALL the difference as we are preparing for baby #2's arrival and being able to move around portable with the monitor makes a huge difference! Thank you, Emma for your prompt assistance and dedication!! We so so appreciate it!

This camera was bought Feb 2023 for my baby shower. Fast forward to Feb 2025 and we started having issues with the camera moving up and down as well as the monitor not holding a chage. Emma from Infant Optics was quick to respond when I sent out an email. She helped me troubleshoot the monitor and now it is holding a charge just fine! However the camera was still not working properly. Even though I was out of the warranty period, Emma agreed to send me a new camera. It came in the mail very quickly and works great. I thought for sure that I would have to buy a new camera but I was so pleasantly surprised to have such wonderful customer service- especially prompt responsiveness. The camera works wonderfully and we love it so much- I really didn't want to have to buy another brand so I was super happy that Infant Optics graciously sent us a new one!!!

We love our infant optics camera and monitor but recently started having an issue with the monitor which persisted despite replacing the battery. I contacted customer service and had a wonderful experience with their representative (Emma C). The representative was incredibly helpful and patient, taking the time to troubleshoot the issue before determining that a replacement of the monitor was needed. Once that was decided, they quickly processed the replacement and ensured it was sent out in a very timely manner. The entire process was seamless, efficient, and stress-free. I truly appreciate the excellent service and support—thank you!

Constant reliability issues * battery stopped working 4 months after use, had to do a reset to get it * battery life was about 1/3 of what was advertised 6 months into use * monitor stopped working 2 years in Infant optics does not stand by its product. It has a 1 year warranty and customer support will just offer a discounted price after that. Their product has reliability issues around battery and charging which is why they offer such a short warranty. Baby monitors should last longer than a year
