This worked well until it TURNED MY HAIR PINK!!! I have bright blonde hair and after 3 months of using it one morning I was curling it and my hair started looking pink & I noticed the rose gold color is coming off on my hair! Not happy at all.

Hair smells horrible

wanted a different conair curling iron, but the person who did the same day delivery bought this one instead. At first I thought it may have just been because I hadn't used a curling iron in years that I had these issues, but coming on here and reading reviews, I don't seem to be alone. The curling iron is super hard to use. Hair gets crimped on the part that clamps onto the hair, while the rest of the hair barely curls even on higher settings. I ended up trying to ignore the clamp and using it as if it were a wand, but that ended up in a disaster when trying to wrap the hair around. But the worst out of all of it is the smell my hair has afterwards. I used heat protectant before using, used it on a lower setting for most of it and even only had the hair on there for seconds once I realized I wasn't going to have it be super curled anyway, and I still have this weird smell (like burnt mixed with dirt) a week later even after washing.

Okay, I got this about three years ago. It was alright, for the first times. But that was because i'd never owned one and didn't know what to exspect. It takes FOREVER to cool down. I have 3 BURN SCARS because of the iron. It make a loud screaching sound everytime you use it. Has a horrible smell. Never curls. Hair never holds curl. Doesn't even curl at all. Even at the highest setting! Has weird marks from absolutly nothing. Use it once every other month, and remember how bad it is every use. Also to put the cherry on top, set off the smoke alarm last use.

Noticed it makes my hair smell funny. It's not the product I use before hand. Also, the power sometimes seems faulty. Takes a long time for the red light to be constant.... meaning the heat is ready.

Why is this so hard to use? I’ll tell you! The part where you pick which heat setting is too easily changer during styling. There no way to keep it set where you want and use the thing. I kept turning it down or off. It’s cheaply made, I got what I paid for and even that was too expensive.

I have used this curler for many years now and it is my favorite. I have both the 1in and 1 1/2inch. I like the 1 1/2 for looser waves. It does leave an indentation mark here and there but they do go away as your hair begins to settle. For the price, it’s worth it. I’ve never had an issue. But I also take care of my stuff and make sure they’re stored properly. [I keep them in the box and shelf them until next use]

I have both sizes in this curling iron and I like the 1in barrel the best for my shoulder length hair. The 1.25 doesn't curl my hair AT all. But I highly suggest the 1in.
