Dryer is lightweight and does an adequate job of drying hair, but not at the rate of hard shell model that allows moisture to escape through open hood. For the price, I would recommend the InfinitiPro with the caveat that users should consider not disconnecting the hood from the hose once it is in place. All plastic parts, including the connectors, are thin/flimsy, and not likely to hold up to repeated use.
After using the dryer the first time, I put the storage unit back in the original box, left the storage door open, and inserted electric cord and only part of the hose back into the storage opening, leaving half the hose and the hood outside. The box was then placed in a nylon tote bag with strap handles, and the hood and upper portion of hose tucked into the bag, OUTSIDE of the box. Bag is easy to carry and to store.
Hood is large enough to fit jumbo rollers at crown, but elastic at bottom of hood does not stretch enough to put on hood with jumbos above ears and around head. Best fit is with 1-inch rollers. Height of hood is excessive, so elasticized bottom creeps downward to hose connection. The hose connection is so close to hood bottom that it rests against neck and requires towel placement at back of neck to prevent burning.
Conair's redesign of hood is needed, as is upgrading quality of plastic hood material and connections, and making hood replacement part available. As other reviewers have commented, the hood, and possibly hose, will not last long. Parts are not available, requiring re-purchase of entire dryer unit.
Negative comments aside, this dryer is affordably priced and meets the need of those still using rollers and preferring soft bonnet.
