Guests are saying
The planner has been a favorite for many guests over the years, praised for its organization and usability. However, recent changes have led to disappointment, as features like customization stickers, laminated covers, and sturdy coils have been removed or downgraded. Guests appreciate the layout and practicality for teaching, but many are considering alternatives due to the perceived decline in quality. The planner still serves its purpose but may not meet expectations for returning users.

A complete downgrade compared to previous years
So disappointed in the recent changes- none of the changes were necessary! This used to be a great product that was affordable and functional. However, the changes to this updated version makes it everything that Erin condren’s brand is not supposed to be: it’s low quality with thin printer paper instead of the thick card stock, no stickers for customization and EC brand fun flair, no laminated cover that was once interchangeable, cheap spiral, and the pretty colorful planning templates is gone. I’m so disappointed that I had to end up going with a different brand teacher planner from target. Emily Lu I think? I can’t justify paying the same amount of money as last year for a cheaper product and I definitely can’t pay the $70 for an “official” Erin condren planner.

So disappointed in the changes
I’ve bought this planner for the past six years or so. I’ve loved it. This year the price is the same but the gave you half the planner. You no longer get ANY customization stickers, the cover is no longer laminated, the coils are thinner, and the writing space is smaller. The pages even feel thinner. I don’t mind that they dated it across the top since that’s what I did previously, but that doesn’t mean I no longer med any stickers. The month tabs are now filled in for you but are also a lot smaller. I’m not sure if I’ll keep this. I hate to spend the money on an Erin conference official one from their website, but this doesn’t feel like it’s worth what I paid either.

Cheapened Product For Same Price
Definitely would not recommend if you are expecting the quality of the 2025-26 planner. They have eliminated the stickers, lowered the weight/quality of the paper, made the cover out of a cheaper material rather than laminating and just has a plastic cover in front of it- to just look at online it looks the same but when it arrives you realize quickly they have cheapened it. The only positive is you don’t have to write in the dates and put the month stickers on. I will look elsewhere for my replacement planner and return this one. Very disappointed.

Downgrade for sure
This is my third year buying this planer. The quality in the past has always been sturdy and what I loved about the planner was how customizable it was to how you needed your planner to be. Not only did they greatly decide the quality of the planner in terms of its materials, (covers are no longer laminated, pages are flimsy and not as strong, monthly tabs are smaller and weaker) they’ve changed a lot of the layout and removed very helpful features. Wanted to keep it but very well might return this as it is simply half of what it used to be. Adding pictures of comparison on just the size alone so you can see the difference in quality.

Disappointing Changes
I agree with the previous review. I purchased this item last year and loved it. It was a great budget, friendly planner with a designer look and feel. Unfortunately, the changes that have been made to it hinder its quality greatly for the same price. The coils are thinner and cheaper. The cover and back cover are no longer laminated. They just have a piece of clear plastic over the paper design. Also, there are fewer pages for notes and rosters. Since I already bought it, I will use it for this coming school year. And hope that they go back to the original design and quality next year. If not, I’ll have to find a new planner.

disappointed in the quality and changes
I'm so disappointed in the changes! I'll be returning. I use this for the layout which allows us to capture details based in a non traditional system with year long CM schooling practices. They have not only cut the quality of the binding down, but also extensively reduced the number of pages, and paper quality. The layout has also changed. Rather than being able to modify the columns based on subjects I'm reduced to dates and limited subjects in columns. I have pix below comparing the old to the new.

Disappointing Changes
I’ve used this planned the past 2 years and loved it. This year it is the same price but “cheaper”. The coils are less durable. There is less extra paper for meetings, etc. The old version has a laminated front and back cover. This has a clear protector over the covers.

This planner I used last year from Target was one of the best planners I have ever used as a teacher. It was incredibly well organized, easy to navigate, and helped me stay on top of every part of my day from lesson planning to meetings and deadlines. The layout was clear and practical, which made it simple to quickly write notes, track important dates, and keep everything in one place. It truly made my teaching life more structured and efficient, and I would confidently use it again because it supported me so well throughout the entire school year.
