has to be connected to a wall for LED and basically sit right beside the outlet. Both ears didn't work. don't waste your money.

I prefer not to hear all the noise from the game itself. So we compromise, and he wears a headset ... He must have a headset that has a mic though. We decided to give Insten Wired Gaming headset with a microphone a try. The ear muffs are big, and my son thinks that is the best feature for this headset. The second best feature (according to my teen son) is the headband is really soft, and no plastic ever touches his head. The left earmuff has the volume control feature. My son can still hear me talking to him while he is wearing the headphones, and that's a huge plus for me. We had these for a little over three weeks, and there has been no issues with them. They have great sound and no static. My son has been able to wear the Insten Wired Gaming headset for a few hours comfortably, and they are my teenagers favorite gaming headset.

All audio comes through clearly and makes listening to music or gaming a pleasure. The mic pics up voice clearly and is sensitive enough to not have to speak loudly. I definitely recommend.

The only post that's a bit of a let down is that the RGB doesn't work unless he's sitting right next to his game console so he can plug the headset into it. Its not that much of a bummer, though, because its not like he can see the lights while he's using then anyway.

They really aren't necessary and having to plug them in via a USB is annoying. Like the headphones and the mic but not a fan of the lights, just a little too extra.

Now I only hear my kids yelling at the screen instead of their friends lol. But my kids love the mic and the light.
