Q: I see the width is 12.38", but the photos seem to indicate that the bin is wider at the top than it is at the bottom. What's the width at the bottom?

We are using these to store and stack some of the kids toys. I like that they can see what's inside and have been able to open it easily. They are currently storing Lego and have held up to the kids dragging them out quite a bit. We will likely be purchasing more to store other games, stuffed animals, and dress up stuff in the closet as these are fitting nicely on the shelves we have. Note: we originally ordered 2, one of them came in cracked due to shipping (not unexpected but somewhat disappointing). We requested replacement and it was done very quickly and simply. I appreciated that and that we were able to continue with our storage projects quickly as well.
