Q: if I have multilevel home or a step how does it work do I move it to another room and won't that throw off pattern memorized ?

  • A: Hello Cindy, The Roomba I3 can only support 1 smart map. I would suggest looking at the Roomba I7, j7 or S9, which can support up to 10 smart maps, and can be used in multiple levels by moving the Home Base, or having multiple Home Bases on each level.

  • A: The i3 EVO has a significantly better performance on bare floors and picks up more debris from high-pile carpets. It's also better at maneuvering itself and has an automatic dirt disposal feature if it is the I3 evo +. It also has better battery life, which means longer run time. I am not sure what you mean by Roomba 365 as I cannot find any information on that model, so I assumed you mean Roomba 635.

Q: I have the i3 and love it - until now. It won't start I tap 'clean' white light flashes. I have checked the wheels and they seem to be fine. I empty it every time I uae it so nothing there. Help?

  • A: Hello Nicki, The Vacuum does not mop and is not self emptying. The vacuums that mop currently are the Braava series and the Roomba combo series. The vacuums that self empty will have a + before the model name. E.G. I3 EVO+

  • A: Hello boymom2, Yes you can use the vacuum without the iRobot Home app and it will be able to clean the room by using the Clean button. But we would recommend using the app for all the bonus features - scheduling, Keep-Out-Zones etc.

For maps you can't create no go zones even though they say to do that. The self emptying bin doesn't work anymore because it thinks it is off line.

My wife does nothing but brag about the job "Roomie" does on our 115 year old home. She says it does a much better job than her everyday vacuum she uses for spills and whatnot. If he could only climb the stair to do the second story! I have the app on my phone so even from work she can call me and let me know the floor is picked up (dog toys and whatnot) and I can start Roomie.

I have to hover over it to get it to start. Then it will only do half the room. It will not start with j it's a em when scheduled, and only if I wash out the dust bin.

My brand new iRobot is a total disappointment. This is my second, the first lasted well over a decade. On my second use I got the error 26 code. I ran through all the trouble shooting...twice. Then I had my husband take a look just in case I was missing something. Nope. I reached out to customer service and was copy/paste to do exactly what I had already done and if that didn't work then my brand new out of the box vacuum needed a new part. So I am returning it.

I've owned several robot vacuums, including another iRobot. Despite doing the recommended maintenance and replacing parts, this vacuum has never worked well. We have had it for less than 2 years and it really only worked well the first few months. Huge waste of money. It never completes an entire cleaning. It never charges. It says it's on the base but is sitting in the middle of a room. It also goes to areas that it's not suppose, despite updating the map. Do not waste your money!

I really liked my i3 model. It seemed to work well picking up dirt in my carpet and on floors. I would religiously change out the filter, make sure the brush pads were clean, so it could run for a while. Just recently it's stopped picking up dirt. I will watch it travel over dirt and not even touch it. I used this vacuum about once per week for a year, kept up on charging it, and now that I'm trying to use it more frequently it seemed to die out. I wish it lasted longer.

I use it daily and love how it saves me time doing my daily chores which now are cut in half with sweeping and dusting my floors… I have three Bots and trust when I say they are worth every penny! I really enjoy the scheduling features and especially the mapping, room labeling, and Alexa interface…. I have hardwood floors and a few 6x9 carpets that I never have to worry with a switch from either… Who would have thought I'd be here to see some of the Jetsons ideas? I want to try the wet Bot someday when my budget is up. Until than I Roomba daily

I use each morning. It is just weak. The verbal clues are muted and it often just hovers. I have rebooted and returned to factory settings. This is my third iRobot and I am disappointed

I rec'd this as a gift. I also own 2 Roomba 690's and use them all the time. This I3+ is nice, but it does not have a HANDLE…I have a very bad back, and to lift this one is agony. At least with the 690 you can grab it with one hand. But not the I3+. I would never have bought this myself without a handle, but it was a gift, which was almost returned. It's difficult to pick up. Very disappointed

Not a good product for that price. I have it for over a year, no carpets, same floor everywhere, still manages to get lost. Can't find some rooms. When lost, if I abort and send it home, it has no problems finding home, but it searches for a room until battery drains?! I clean it after every usage, it is close to the wifi, never moved its base. Just constant stress.

Since you added the mapping feature my IROBOT no longer covers all the previous territory. Not a happy camper! You've complicated what was a very simple cleaning function into a partially effective cleaning tool. Keep your nose out of function and market with success. Shark is now definitely an option down the road.

We bought this last year and honestly it has been so frustrating. It doesn't really clean anything and misses a lot of stuff. We have bought many products from iRobot and have liked them but this has been really disappointing. When it does work, it literally takes 3 hours to clean our level which isn't even that big. Normally a big fan of iRobot but this is making us consider other brands.

I like the iRobot. I am somewhat of a "techie" and I am able to keep up with the connectivity minor maintenance issues. If I am not around (75 with a blood cancer) my 72 year old wife not so much and it will sit idle until the kids / grandkids visit. Make it more user friendly and less maintenance intensive. That said I would buy again to accompany my WiFi thermostats, air purifier, Ring camera system, etc. etc.and really enjoy playing the technology ! 😎

The unit never succeeded in completing a full map of my house. It always stopped with a fatal error Online troubleshooting tips did not fix this. So features like directing it to clean a certain room were never an option.

When it works/runs it does a nice job. When I'm gone during the day I get a lot of notices on my phone that Roomba got stuck and ended the job. Some days it doesn't run at all. I'm pleased how well it cleans when it does though.

I have had continuous issues with establishing internet connection via my phone. Often requres reset with the app. Constant issues with the bin vaccum, very tempermental - red light comes on requiring some kind of maintenance/reset/adjustments. When it is working, cleans well, but I spend most of my time just trying to get it out of the dock.
