iRobot Roomba Plus 505 Combo Vacuum & Mop + AutoWash Dock Dual Spinning Pads Extend, Pad Wash & Heated Dry, Self-Cleans Black

I've only owned this for about 2 weeks but so far so good. The app was easy to navigate, room mapping was quick and easy. We have hardwood floors and the mopping action is perfect. It leaves very little water behind which dries in a few minutes. It is a little noisy especially when cleaning the mops but I understand they all are. Overall I'm very satisfied.

It synced right up to my iPad works well cleans well much better then 405 ,also 505 sees well knows it dos not get it self stuck mops great I gave 0 issues with this machine I have been roomba fan for while now lost count of years this is best I have seen , I still use my j7 dos well still personally I think the 505 is much better machine .. thank you for years service your machines are awesome 😁

Setup relatively easy, app user friendly, I have a large shedding dog, container would get clogged with a short period of time, no warning of filled container, otherwise it performed as programmed, hit all the areas and came back to station, no issues. Performance is below par to a regular cordless vacuum, in addition to shedding dog issue above. Nicley packaged, was hoping better overall.

Terrible, very loud and very needy . I had to attend to this constantly . Took forever to do anything.

This roomba really is great. I like the customization you can make to the cleaning routine. I do however feel like it could do a little better job. I see it leaves little specs of stuff behind and little wads of pet hair, fuzz, etc.

It is a great machine however it is not what I thought I ordered. I believe I should have ordered the Toomba 10? I think. I believe the roomba I have now is far better but it is not a floor scrubber. I am thinking of returning it

I received it set it up and it did not work at all. Contacted iRobot customer care, and they said it would be at my house in 2-5 days. It has been 3 weeks at this point and still nothing (not even a tracking number). If I could get my money back I would.

This irobot was easy to set up, pare with the internet and schedule a cleaning (once it was fully charged). Much easier than our older irobot. I'm really enjoying the mopping feature the most! We have hardwood floors throughout our home and I hate having a little dirty spot here and there as the week progresses. The 505 does a fantastic job of vacuuming and mopping!!!

It took very little to figure out how to use. Then setting it up to opperate the way I want my floors cleaned. Now I'm working on setting up a routine. All very easy. Only drawback is that it sit higher than the S9 but not a big deal.

Have had iRobot since 2 years. Replaced it with a combo and totally live the experience. Scheduled cleaning and the best part is the iRobot clearly identifies the carpet and hard floors. Does amazing cleaning.

I like the product however the channel which captures the debris gets clogged. Also the brush(green) is a lower quality and quickly gets stuck with debris

The vacuum works fine overall, but it makes a popping sound when moving across the floor. I contacted the iRobot website, and they agreed to replace it. After waiting two weeks for the new one, it turned out to have the same popping noise. I've tried everything to figure out what's causing it, but the noise is so loud that you can't even hear the TV. I'm really disappointed with this purchase. I bought it to replace my iRobot I7, but it's nowhere near as good as that one was.

I had high expectations given the price point and the convenience it promises — vacuuming and mopping in one, plus self-cleaning? It sounded like a dream. But in full honesty, my first week with it was frustrating. It didn’t map my house correctly at all. It kept going in circles, missed entire areas, and felt more like a toy than a smart cleaning device. I was genuinely confused how something this expensive could perform like that out of the box. One of the biggest issues I ran into early on was the battery. When it runs low, it doesn’t return to the dock to charge. Instead, it just stops in the middle of the floor and stays there until you manually move it. That completely defeats the purpose of automation, and for a premium product, I expected better. Now to be fair, things did improve after several runs. Once it finally mapped the space properly, it started to behave more like what I originally hoped for. It moves more intentionally, covers areas more thoroughly, and the combo of vacuuming and mopping has been great for light daily maintenance. I especially like how it keeps hard floors looking consistently clean without constant effort on my part. The AutoWash Dock is convenient, but again — only if the robot actually makes it back. The concept is impressive, but in practice, I feel like the software and navigation system still need refining. It has potential, but for this price, I do think the technology should be a little more reliable and polished. In short, the cleaning performance is solid once it’s up and running properly, but the setup experience was frustrating and the battery behavior is disappointing. If you’re tech-savvy and patient, it might work for you. But if you want something that’s truly hands-off from day one, this version might need a few updates before it gets there. This was something I received to try out from influenster and review, and I’m genuinely hoping future updates improve what could be a great product.

With my three chihuahuas and the hair left around the house and grit tracked in from outside this iRobot is perfect. I have it set to run automatically 6 days a week. I set it on high suction and it really keeps the floors clean. Clean floors also keeps dog hair from floating in the air and onto furniture. I really love the clean I get with this iRobot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received for free in exchange for my honest opinion. I was so excited to receive the Roomba for vacuuming and mopping. The app set up is different than our previous one. It is a bit clunky and mapping was a bit more time consuming although the new LiDar made it easier by not having to run the entire route. The suction seems to be about the same, the mopping feature is for light cleanups, and mapping the route edges took a bit of time. It does go back to the docking station more times than just the vacuum to clean pads. It seems to be the same whether you have more or less messes to cleanup. It is a bit loud moving around the hard wood and tile floors but amazing to watch as it transitions to carpeted areas and then back to hard floors. We have dogs and labs shed daily, so vacuuming daily is a must. There are several errors popping up that require cleaning and/or hair removal but it’s spring. We’re hoping this gets better after shedding season. I do wish it had a manual setting for making a run without using the app. The size of the docking station is larger than our previous one due to solution and dumping mop water, so we had to move this one to a new location. The sensors are finicky, so if it doesn’t like where you put it first, you have to move locations anyway until you find one it likes. Overall, this unit does a good job vacuuming and mopping light messes with minimal interaction required. Using the new app, ferreting out error solutions, learning the “filling up solution - dumping dirty water - ensuring the internal dumping isn’t clogged” routine has a learning curve that takes some time and patience. But, it’s only our first few weeks, so we are hopeful that things will smooth out and that over time, we will find a happy median where we are working together to keep the floors in my house clean. Through all of this, I’m still excited about a robot helping me out with chores. I know there are other similar products out there that are lower and higher priced but Roomba is the OG in this area. I’m rooting for them to tweak here and there where needed and bring us an exceptional product.

First let me start out by saying that I love it but you will need to have the patience to set it up and learn how to use it. my first suggestion is that you make sure to secure all loose items including floor mirrors. Mine appeared to be fine when mapping the room but when it went into clean mode my mirror went crashing. I was upset but it was on me for not securing it. Also I’m technically challenged so it was a bit of a nuisance to have to setup, add another app and get through the learning curve. But with that said I do love the Roomba and it does a great job at cleaning my floors. I like the mapping feature and the ability to schedule by room or the entire floor. I also like that you can add sections to avoid aka my next floor mirror, cords and add furniture placement. The dock automatically empties the dustbin, washes and heat-dries mop pads, and performs self-cleaning cycles, which I think are great features. The battery life is a bit short, it is a bit noisy and the docking station will require more space. I received this product complimentary but all thoughts are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all WOW WOW! The iRobot! Roomba Plus 505 Combo is amazing! First it is visually stunning and so streamlined to be such a powerful machine. When I first used it I was amazed at the cleaning power and how quiet it is. It cleaned the whole top floor of my home which is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a hallway which is a combo of carpet and tile. The second level which is my kitchen and dining room and my office which is all tile and then my recessed living room downstairs which is carpet again and laundry room and bathroom which is tile and then we took it downstairs to the finished basement which is all carpet. It cleaned my whole home and still has plenty of battery left. How it mapped the floor plan and cleaned accordingly and yes it docked itself to clean itself. It was just WOW! I’m in love because I never have to mop or vacuum again. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was excited to test this Roomba, I’ve never had one before. For the price I don’t think it’s worth it. After mapping a small room to clean it told me it needed to charge and the battery was full before I even started it. Also during mapping it missed a lot of areas that didn’t have anything in the way. As far as big objects like a kitchen chair, it literally bumps into it to actually clean around the object. For how expensive this Roomba is i expected better performance. It’s pretty quiet and the idea is cool but i think it’s way overpriced. To note, I didn’t test it on carpet because I have a dog that sheds a lot, only tested on hard floors. The mop feature is convenient but I wouldn’t use it most of the time.
