  • A: Thank you for the inquiry. The new Ivory Bar Soaps are made with plant based cleansers (Sodium Palmate) and no longer contains animal based cleansers (tallow acid, sodium tallowate). The sodium palm kernelate, the sodium palmate & palm kernel acid comes from plant sources. Hope that helps!

    I bought this a week ago and couldn't figure out why I was having allergic reactions when its supposed to be 99.4 pure. All I know is my chest kept aching and wasn't sure why? Im going back to cetaphil. I dont think its 99 % pure.

    They just made it worse

    I loved the original soap and bought it for many years without question. I begrudgingly continued after the reformulation a few years ago. Now it has moisturizer. Not having a moisturizer was why I buy it. Will be returning this and won't be buying again. It's a shame.

    Give us the old wholesome, pure,clean cleanse bar

    The women in my family have used the original Ivory bar soap for over 70 years. We have had clear beautiful completions until the past couple of years. Why would you change your ingredients? I now have terrible skin issues red rashes, break outs, rough skin. Please bring back the pure soap without scents, moisturizers, oils, etc. If you want to improve your soap stop whipping so much air into the bars of soap causing them to melt so quickly after they begin to be used. Please have integrity in your production. You had a wonderful product and have destroyed it.

    NEVER BUY IVORY SOAP AGAIN

    As a lifelong customer of Ivory, I was deeply disappointed by my recent experience. Upon opening the package, the individual soaps were visibly soiled and absolutely disgusting. It appears that they were dropped and subsequently repackaged. This product is manufactured in Columbia, likely in a poorly maintained factory. I will not purchase Ivory soap again.
