Made with a hollow-core construction, it is extremely lightweight and easy to move around. It is finished with an MDF laminate that makes the faux-wood hard to scratch or stain. I bought this for my niece who has gotten her own apartment. It was on sale for just under $30. It's worth the sale price, but I don't think I would have ever paid full price for it. It's light and feels like it can be broken easy. But it works as a simple filler decor that's affordable!

Broke a week after getting. It is literally made out of cardboard. I’m disappointed and frankly angry at the price for the quality of the table. Do not order this table! Also the table was squeaky!!!

This coffee table is made up of laminated MDF, which is not cardboard but also isn't solid wood.
