This book is an autobiography of Dr. Jerger, an audiologist whose career has spanned over six decades. Jerger, an accomplished physician, served as the first president of the American Academy of Audiology and is known as one of the founding fathers of audiology research. The autobiography begins with a brief recounting of Jerger's childhood, then moves quickly to later school years. Jerger discusses early career moves and accomplishments, as well as noting research breakthroughs along the way. He dedicates a chapter solely to favorite publications; he also devotes a chapter to important people both professionally and personally. There are illustrations throughout.
