So happy Target carries this shampoo which I've purchased previously from a health food store... I have eczama and my scalp is overly sensitive and this shampoo is gentle and effective.. love that it's a clean product too. Just use a little bit, it doesn't lather up like those yucky shampoos with tons of chemicals, and i feel it cleanses very well. I shampoo about 3 times a week. The scent is very mild and nice.. i also use the conditioner, but only when time allows.
I like to use this shampoo to vary up my normal shampoo routine. Believe it or not, I have found that this shampoo and other tea tree oil items help to keep mosquitoes at bay. I like the healthy ingredients. It can be a little drying if used every day. It may seem watered down as one reviewer mentioned but don't let that keep you from trying it because of the formulation a little goes a long way. I have tried other brands but this one keeps me coming back because of the effectiveness and because it does not have mint or any tingling which I don't like.
I love this shampoo. I have a very oily scalp with a medical condition of hyperhidrosis. This shampoo helps soothe and remove the oils off my scalp. It is gentle enough to use every day. I also have color treated hair and it doesn’t seem to cause any issues with my very light blonde tone.
I have only washed once but so far it seems to be working well with my scalp. The lather seems good leaves my hair feeling clean afterward and the tea tree smell isn't too strong where it bothers me really. Otherwise, I would give it a 5 if the smell was a little more pleasant.
I read that this helps to eradicate demodex mites. I don't know if i have them but i have symptoms, including non-dandruff scalp itchiness that isn't helped by the so-called anti-itch shampoos. (Coal tar shampoo makes it ten times worse, in fact.) I noticed a big difference after the first use. I still have a little bit of itchiness now and then but it may not be anything more than the occasional normal scalp itch. It does dry my hair out a bit but i just use conditioner more often and that takes care of it. I was really worried that it would smell bad. Selsun blue and T-Gel by Neutrogena smell so bad that I can't use them. This was quite pleasant in comparison. It is mostly herbal scented; there's a bit of camphor or something in there but it's pretty faint in my opinion. The smell is quite tolerable, not an issue at all. I was also pleased that it didn't cost two or three times what my usual shampoo costs. There's a shampoo specifically for demodex that is $25 for 6 ounces! I can't afford that. I'm glad to have this alternative.
