This thing is off the hook cool! It is so fun to watch the kids ride this Hoverboard with light up wheels. It has all kinds of fun things. It is bluetooth capable to listen to music as well. I would say that it is very easy for the kids to jump on and ride. But as for myself, well, it took a few tries to get going. I guess my balance isn't as good as it used to be. But after I figured it out, it was pretty cool. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Unfortunately, I do not recommend this product. My son received this as a gift for Christmas and it broke after four months. It was a gift, so I did not have the receipt. I have been dealing with customer service for months. They promise to call you back but don’t. They do not stand by their product. They will do absolutely nothing to replace it because I don’t have a receipt. Even if I had a receipt, it wouldn’t matter.. They told me that no physical damage is covered. The interior of one of the wheels cracked. He just rode around on it on a smooth surface. I’m not sure how the interior of the hoverboard broke, but I would assume something you are meant to stand on would have better coverage. Save yourself the hassle, buy another brand. This company does not stand by their product.

The box advertised up to 260 lb weight limit, 10 miles on one charge, and up to 12mph. I weigh 220 so I am well under the limit. Tried it out in my hallway in my house and only got about a half mile on a full charge. Instructions say call manufacturer so I did. Call taker tells me weight and a lot of stopping, starting, and turning will effect distance. In other words "normal operation." She said if I think its defective to please send it in for repair. So I recharged it and went out to a large paved parking lot. Got the same results. However I also noticed it would not take me up even a slight incline. I was going to send it in but the last straw was when I was carrying it into the house and one of it's internal screws shook out. I promptly returned it to Target because I know that's how you get junk pulled off of good retail store shelves. Don't waste your money.
Bought this from a Target for my son and gave it to him for Christmas. It broke over a month ago, we reset it and tried the “fix remedies” to no avail. We bought the higher end one thinking it would make it a better purchase, didn’t even last 4 months and when it began to malfunction he could have gotten very hurt. Very disappointing purchase, we do not recommend.

This has been a hit with all the kids! I wanted a hover board that rides in the backyard as our neighborhood does not have sidewalks. It rides well. Only concern is the battery seems to go out on the right sooner than the left.
broken within 45days. right wheel stopped responding and vibrates.

Hi kenpoman, So sorry to hear about your X10. It sounds like you may need to recalibrate your board. Just like phones and computers, hoverboards need a reset from time to time. Please use the steps below to recalibrate: 1. Make sure the board is off and on a flat surface 2. Hold the power button in until the unit starts to beep and light begin to flash. 3. Next, power of the unit and restart. (keep in mind that it may take up to 3 re-calibration attempts to reset all internal components). Great hover board for both beginners and experienced riders. It’s of my sons have one, and they came already charged and ready to go. One was a little touchier than the other as far as stopping, but we got the kinks worked out. Only drawback is that the manual doesn’t really explain what’s wrong if it starts to beep and the answer isn’t obvious, but with a little searching online, it’s easy enough to figure out.
