I think I gaslit myself into thinking that this worked in my hair since it needs to be applied while wet and then needs heat to activate. Maybe using it in the summer while sitting outside would work best? I could not tell since my hair lightens when it dries anyway, but I thought it was maybe lighter after using this product. My roommates did not think so though.

I have medium blonde hair and bought this to see if it might be an easier alternative to a full bleach to lighten my hair a level and give it enough porosity that it holds semi-permanent dyes well (semi permanents wash right out of my unbleached hair), and it has been excellent at both. Lightening is gradual, it took about 5 treatments for me to get a full level, and the semi-permanent dye that I used over it has lasted as long as it has on my fully bleached ends. This is a peroxide bleach so it's going to damage your hair a bit, but for folks looking for semi-permanent staying power that's a good thing, and it is really easy to use and less fuss than doing a full bleach treatment. Be sure to follow with regular conditioning treatments!

I have used the Go Blonder Lightening spray over the years and love the results. It's just a refresher of my natural blonde, especially in the winter months. However, this new spray bottle is awful. What was wrong with the original pump? I've had to buy a different container to put the product in just to use it without having it just leak all over my hand and not spray.

I loved this stuff and the color it provided to my naturally blonde hair without dying; however, I wondered why I was noticing my hair snapping off at the crown. I was only spraying this on my roots and it has truly destroyed my hair. While it seems to work wonders at first, it’s absolutely not worth the damage you’ll notice in time.

My hair is originally deep brown (curly hair/black woman), but I dyed it to get a lighter brown. Long story short, I couldn’t really tell if it was lightning my hair. Then it put it on my roots, and WOW! It turned my hair was lighter in days, you do have to use it a couple times. I think if you section your hair and comb it through, then it should evenly lighten it.

My hair is naturally a light ash brown and a dirty dark blonde and this spray works great to add subtle blonde highlights! I basically spray this on my hair either wet before styling and use my hair dryer or on dry hair before sun exposure. This product can be drying so after using this you definitely want to use a moisturizing deep conditioner. I’ve also used this like 10yrs ago when I was blonde and this really brightened up my blonde hair at the time even more. I’d recommend this if your looking to add subtle highlights to light brown and dark blonde hair or really brighten up blonde hair even more……..this lightening spray in my opinion is gradual working so don’t expect dramatic instant results.

I didn't love the product. I used the product as directed but I didn't notice any difference in my hair color. I think the product is a good high quality product and but it just didn't work for me. It has a nice lemon scent and the formula is absorbed by the hair very quickly. Doesn't weigh the hair down.

I bought this because my hair roots are always looking darker than the rest of my hair, that is just how my natural hair color is. I tried it and they immediately matched the rest of my hair. It does not damage the hair, but you do have to be using it constantly.

I think it is a great alternative. You have to give it a few times, before seeing the effects. I think maybe 3-4 times that i used, with a hair drier, when I saw some changes. The only thing that I don't like is how it leaves a weird buildup on your hair. You can't see it, I feel it when I touch my hair and I have to wash my hair the next day to get rid of it. Other than that, I think it is worth a try, if you want something less damaging on your hair. #blondehair
