Jurassic World: Dominion Release ‘N Rampage Soyona & Atrociraptor Pack (Target Exclusive)

Worth it mainly for the raptor cage and raptor for sure

The quality of the toys was top notch!

I give this 3 stars solely based on the cage alone. One of the doors never stayed in place. My son would try to open or close it and it would come out of the tracks. He got tired of coming to me every second to have me fix it. He plays with the Dino still but not the cage.

The cage is poorly made and makes it difficult for a toddler to play with. Door does not lift up and down easily.

A great toy to reenact favourite scenes from movie! great toys great price. it's are well made.

All of the Jurassic World Dominion dinosaurs are different from the old ones. They’re very detailed and my son loves them so much!

2022 Mattel Jurassic World Dominion “Release ‘n Rampage Pack” The Release ‘n Rampage Pack is an exclusive to Target stores here in the US. The play set introduces two new characters to the franchise; Soyona Santos (as portrayed by Dichen Lachman), and the Atrociraptor named Ghost. Nothing is yet known about the character of Soyona, but she is believed to be an antagonist of the film. The character of Soyona has a striking presence, and a unique silhouette. There is a lot of great detailing on the figure, and the likeness to the actress is decent. The figure features the standard ten points of articulation shared by the majority of the main line human figures. The included accessories are interesting. One is the stun baton seen being wielded by Kayla in the trailer. The other is a mysterious remote, which bears a strong resemblance to the controllers of the radio controlled “Click Trackers”. This may be an instrument for training, or controlling the dinosaurs in some way. Ghost the Atrociraptor is a great inclusion. Mattel did an excellent job with the sculpt. The Atrociraptor is loaded with amazing detail! There are tons of tiny scales across the entire figure. Unfortunately, due to Ghost’s white coloration, it can be difficult to see all the wonderful sculpted details. I especially love the detailing on the top of the Atrociraptor’s head. Paint apps are decent, but could have been improved. As is all too ften the case, the tail lacks any paint at all. The claws are left unpainted as well. This normally doesn’t bother me too much, but it is very noticeable on a white dinosaur. It’s also disappointing, because both Blue and Beta have painted toe claws. One aspect that I do like, are the presence of lots of the classic Mattel speckles. It’s a technique that adds depth to the coloration without requiring extra paint work. (Although on Ghost, it kinda gives it a “Cookies & Cream” look.) The eyes on my figure are applied nearly perfectly, and have a decent gloss. The teeth and tongue are painted nicely as well, and the tongue has a nice gloss to it too. Articulations are fairly standard. All limbs can move forward and back. There are no pivot joints on any of them. The tail can rotate. The neck can move up and down, and can rotate. The jaw is articulated also, and can open fairly wide. The crate accessory is something that we fans have been asking for for a very long time now. I would love to see many more large pieces like this. It is very nicely detailed. There are scrapes and scratches all over, giving it a well worn look. There are panels bolted on, and climbing steps/handholds on both sides. The door slides up and down smoothly, although it is a bit confusing as to how it goes on at first. I had to consult the photos on the packaging to figure out exactly how it fit into place. There is glitter embedded in the gray plastic to give it a genuine metallic look. It’s a pretty effective technique, and adds to the believability. Overall, this is a great introduction to the Atrociraptor. Soyona is also an awesome figure to have, with some great accessories. The crate is an amazing addition which we have been clamoring for.. I hope its inclusion is a sign of great things to come!
