Your child can create satisfyingly squishy slime just like their favorite YouTuber with the Karina Garcia Make-Your-Own Slime Kit from Craft City. Part of Karina Garcia’s crafting collection, this fun kit includes a mixing cup, glitter, color tablets, water gel powder, a mixing stick, craft glue, glow powder, clear slime goo, slime activator and bubble wrap — everything needed for crunchy slime, clear slime, opaque slime, glittery slime and so much more. The finished slime will be smooth, gooey and perfect for playing with. By following the step-by-step instructions, your child and their friends can enjoy some creative and customized DIY fun.
The kit comes with white glue, clear glue, glitter, glow in the dark powder, water gel powder, and red yellow and blue coloring giving few creative bounds. Furthermore it comes with a small bowl and a straw that can be used to mix (I would still recommend spoon) or to blow slime bubbles. The instructions covered all options and were very clear and there was some troubleshooting tips as well.
Because I haven’t made slime in years mine and my child’s came out wonky the few first tries (you can make multiple batches) and we had the most fun troubleshooting and experimenting until we got successful slime. We would play for about an hour with it a day so it lasted quite a while. The only negative thing I can think to say is that I wish there was more troubleshooting tips provided as we had to YouTube some (try adding lotion) but all in all it was tons of fun.
I also appreciated the addition of the chemical names of the glue and activator. It tells me a lot more about we’re using especially because my child has very sensitive skin and would be very very helpful for parents if there was ever an accidental ingestion.
I rated the value a five since it’s all inclusive and curated but yes you could buy everything separately for cheaper. I rated the age appeal lower as very young children and possibly older children may not have fun making slime over and over.
So, this slime kit was a complete fail, I tried making the clear slime and all I got was water, my daughter thought if we dumped it on the table and we kneaded it, that it would eventually form, as we did that I noticed my table was getting a bit blue, so I grab a rag and start wiping, I wipe with all my force, and the stain comes out, wasted my precious girls, 20 dollars, she saved up for a month for that money and it was wasted.
