about this item

This book serves as both a biography of the Japanese artist Kazuyuki Ohtsu and a collection of his artwork--multicolored, nature-inspired woodblock prints. The first section of the book describes Ohtsu’s life and inspirations, from his birth in 1935 in the manufacturing city Isesaki to his work at the Isamu Umehara Print Workshop in Tokyo, from his apprenticeship with master and collaborator Kiyoshi Saito to his contemporary career. The rest of the book displays full-color, full-page works of art by Ohtsu, including the title of each work and year. It also includes an index of works, which specifications of each print.
