  • A: Sadly the carafe that comes with can't pour without spilling... Worse pour spout on a coffee pot I have ever had... Love everything about this Duo but the spills EVERY fill up!!! We have tried everything, had our guests try we can't pour a coupl of coffee without a mess...PLZ fix it as when this one dies I will get a different one just because of the carafe... we have been using ours for about a year...

Q: If the water reservoir holds 60 ounces how do you make 12 cups? Do you have to add water mid way through the brew?

  • A: A "cup" of coffee is generally considered to be 6 ounces water and one tablespoon of grounds. But for 12 cups, that would mean 72 ounces. Maybe they're considering a "cup" to be 5 ounces, which would use 60 ounces of water to make 12 "cups".

We love this Keurig…when it works properly and doesn’t cause a huge mess. We have had it almost a year and use the carafe function most weekends. There have been several times (5 maybe?) when we make 10 c of coffee per the directions and walk away. When we come back to get a cup, there is coffee ALL OVER the counter. This morning I made 10 c and there were 2-4 in the carafe…the rest was on the counter (and under the keurig). The inside looks like coffee grounds exploded all over everything (a headache to clean), the carafe has coffee grounds in the spot it drips into and inside the coffee, there are coffee grounds all over the heat plate. Use with caution.

I received a K-Duo Christmas 2022. Unfortunately, I needed to file a warranty claim in November 2023 as the power switch stopped working. Keurig supplied a shipping label to send my unit back. In a very short time later, I received a new unit.

I really like the sleekness of this coffee machine and being able to remove the water container to fill. The only negative I’ve seen is that it doesn’t stay on long enough before automatic shutoff kicks in. I’m gone to work an hour before my husband even wakes up so I have to pour his coffee into a thermal mug. Sorry but pods just aren’t strong enough for us daily. Overall a good product!

We purchased this brewer for the dual functionality, but the carafe brew option is extremely weak using the recommended coffee ground amount per cup (one small scoop per cup) even when using the strong setting. Hopefully we can make it better by adding more coffee, but so far the carafe brew is very disappointing. The K-cup brew is fine on the strong setting.

The carafe stopped brewing. On my 3rd replacement, this one lasted a little over a year which is now out of warranty. Now I have to buy another one. I will not be buying a keurig ever again, waste of money and time.

We had an older simpler K=Duo and decided to upgrade. Extremely happy with our decision. The timer function is easy to use and works perfectly. It’s great waking to a whole, fresh pot of coffee. Then later on in the morning, we’ll pop in a K=cup for a quick pick up.
