My first Keurig I had for 7 years. It was awesome; made from stronger materials and the only sound it made was when filling my coffee cup - gentle sound of water. It finally gave up and I didn't hesitate to buy another Keurig. However...Quiet Technology??? Are you kidding? I get ready for work between 4-5:00 AM. When I turn on Keurig to heat the water, I can hear it from my bedroom. When it dispenses my coffee, OMG, it sounds like a lawnmower is running in the backyard! I'll say again - Quiet Technology?? What happened to this great product? Manufacturer is obviously aware of the noise if they have put "Quiet Technology" on their packaging (which is an untrue statement). I tried the Mini-Keurig too which was louder! I kept this K-Select because I love the convenience of single serve pods. But for Gods sake, it is loud and cheaply made. Seeing other reviews, I hope it lasts longer than 1 year. If not, I will not buy another Keurig!

Love it, but should it sputter and drip?

I had to part ways with my 10 + year old Keurig and picked this one up. It's much lighter and in my opinion, not as well made. I have a problem right now. When brewing a cup, the watery coffee sputters out of the top of the machine. With that said, I am going to assume it is the reusable K-cups I have, which have a tighter mesh, perhaps preventing the water pressure from being relieved. I have purchased different reusable cups which I'm confident will address this issue. Fingers crossed.

leaks while heating

This is my 2nd K-Select. The first I ordered leaked while it was heating. It was a pain getting a replacement however we finally got the color orginally ordered. The second one also leaks. shame to have to keep something under it to catch the leak. Third time may be a charm but not for us!!

An awful lot of money for a 1 year coffee maker

This is my 2nd Keurig, the first one lasted about 15 years. This unit is a bit lighter weight but performs better. I love the Strong Brew button and the extra large mug size.
