We keep our grass at 4” and have a hilly yard and my 3 year old is still able to ride through fine...even with a passenger (6 or 10 year old sister) sometimes.

Q: How long and difficult is it to put together?

Assembly timelines vary, we recommend preparing a large space to assembly your ride on, with the required tools listed in the owner’s manual to make your assembly efficient. The ride-on battery will also need to be charged prior to the first ride. Q: The manual says the first charge should be 18 hours and unplugged once the light turns green. When I plugged in for the first time, the light was red for less than a minute then turned green. Should I leave it charging for 18 hours?

As soon as we unboxed it we realized the bed was completely broken off. My kiddo has had it 3 days and high gear won’t work at all. The steering wheel is barely attached and pulls up when he tries to turn it. I suggest avoiding this model. Not worth the price.

This thing sucks! It doesn’t work on gravel and barely works on grass. Everything has already broken off of it. The steering wheel, gear handle, the front piece on the hood. It’s all broken. Still can’t believe we paid so much for it to be used maybe 5 times.

I was up in the air weather or not I was gonna purchase this for my 3 yr old godson who loves construction vehicles because of the review. however I am here to say he loves it. this is a great sturdy toy and he was off like a shot once the wheels were put on. we didn't have to charge it when it came out of the box once the wheels were on it was ready to go. I highly recommend this toy for any construction loving kids.

Doesn’t go on the lawn very well and it’s just barely big enough for my 2 and 3 year old to squeeze in together. My 3 year old will probably be too tall for it within a year. Oh, and the shifter handle snapped off within the first few uses. The kids love that it’s a dump truck but there’s definitely better options at this price point if you don’t need it to be a dump truck.

Worst ride on toy ever. limited slip prevents it from going anywhere. my son cries the whole time cause it stays stuck in the grass, in small holes, or any deviation in the yard. my son loves the dump bed but it's disappointing it doesn't go anywhere.

Such a cute truck!! My son loves it, we got it for his second birthday. After the first ride the front part that covers the battery fell off, and is pretty tricky to stay on. It falls off more than it stays on. $500 is ridiculous, especially for a 12v usually they are 24v for this price. Overall it is cute but not worth $500.

I read the reviews and then bought it thinking we could rig it up. My mistake. Only the first gear works. Husband who can fix anything, attempted to fix the second gear and reverse. He couldn't. We called Kid Trax and they sent a new shifter box within 2 days. It still didn't work. It basically rendered the dumptruck useless. I couldn't return it because it was the last one and my 2 year old already saw it. It won't drive anything other than pavement UNLESS you increase the traction on the back right wheel and add weight near the wheel. We used screws all along the middle of the tire. We put a 25lb plate above the tire. It drives "ok" in our muddy yard. Slightly better on the gravel. It's a flop and I wouldn't recommend this at all.

We bought this for my son for Christmas. We were so excited all he wanted was a big yellow truck! Christmas Eve we went to set it up and the dump was broken off, we initially thought it just needed to be screwed in and we were missing a screw but the whole thing was snapped. We exchanged it got the new one home and the grill on the front was broken- you couldn’t get the part that hides the battery to stay in place. In a 3rd attempt I went to a completely different target and had them open the one they had at member services because I wasn’t going to exchange it a 4th time and the thing is heavy. Well as soon as they opened the box the dump was broken off like the original one we purchased. I ended up getting my money back because if 3 broke that easily how easy would it break if my son it something or drove over something the wrong way. I do not recommend this at all.

This truck looked so cool and some of the reviews I read said it could drive through anything. That is not the case. We live in the country with a very hilly uneven yard. My son can not drive this around the yard or down our gravel driveway because he just spins out. We always store it in the garage and he can not drive it over the 1.5 inch lip without a little push. Also, he loves hauling all his tools in the back but it he has too many the dump bucket tips and all his stuff falls out all over the grou d. Not to mention the battery life I'd not too good.

My son-in-law wasted 400 bucks on this thing for my grandson last Christmas. Went together ok, runs ok, awfully slow, no power, battery lasts an hour. No way can two kids ride this. Driveway only. The box said 4-7 years old. It's more like 3 to 5. Maybe a small 6 year old but that's it. If the seat were adjustable, he could have ridden it, but as it was, he was 6, it was way too small for him. His legs were bent out in a double-V. I'm going to try an get 100 for it but I doubt it, this toy has a bad reputation.

My 4 year old truck-loving son has a blast with this! The lever to tip the back is in an inconvenient spot. Most of the time he accidentally hits the dump lever with his leg while he’s trying to press the pedal to drive. 6 year old sister enjoys it too.
