This baby gate worked perfect for the bottom of our stairs where a traditional pressure mounted one wouldn’t. The gate opening swings both ways. The way it mounts to the walls having to deal with base boards my husband was very impressed with how it was designed to accommodate that. Overall very pleased.

Love, love, love this gate! It’s so versatile. It’s worth the money . I use it around our fireplace, keeps the little one and our pet safely away.

Love the customization of this gate! We had an odd length area to enclose and this worked perfectly! The auto-close door, and easy opening latch are great for when traversing with a newborn/full hands! Absolutely worth the price.

The KidCo Hearthgate is a great product to protect little ones from hard edges of the fireplace. You can buy different size Hearth gates and you can add extensions if needed to fit your hearth. This size worked great for our large fireplace!

This gate is great for the wide doorway in my dining room. Auto Close door is a fantastic feature. Door can be placed anywhere in the system so you can customize. I would recommend the KidCo Configure gate.

Arrived In a beat up broken box retapped. One part was broken. Tried to return it to Target they said i have to wait til mid April due to Coronavirus. So annoying. For $178 i expect better.

It may ok for just a small opening, but it's way too flimsy for a large/wide opening entry way.

This hearth gate from Kidco is the best if you are looking for a quality unit to protect family/pets away from the front of the fireplace. With all the pieces out of the box it took about 20 minutes to read the instructions and make the connections. Included was a 24" self locking gate that was easy to install and works great. The hardware was easy to understand for installation. I have a monstrous rock face 8' fire place with a 18" seat. I have a Shepherd mix who loves the heat but often get's a bit too close for my comfort. This unit extended across the front and the sides of my fireplace with room to spare. I moved it 12" away from the fireplace and with the door, I can easily open it to add wood. I anchored it to a 4x4 beam on both sides of the fireplace for safety. This can easily be used as a baby gate or to keep the pets contained when you are away. The black wrought iron is stunning and adds a great flare to my great room. The only drawback is that the unit does not close up on itself when you take it down. (Did it as a test to see). Each unit has to be uninstalled which even though easy, was tedious. As a note, I received this heart gate free from the manufacturer in exchange for my honest review and opinion. This Kidco hearth gate really is worth the investment, you won't be disappointed. I do like my hearth gate as the door section can be placed anywhere in the layout giving you access where needed. Which is also has the magnet lock technology draws door to the closed position and locks automatically. It can be useful as around wood burning stoves, tv stands or simply for freestanding play area. Recently gave this gate a try and I must say it's comes in handy, first of all I love the modern down to earth simple look of the gate it goes with any décor. Something I loved about this gate was how easy it was to assemble, I had it up and ready in minutes. Another thing I loved about it was it has a magnetic feature where the gate always closes unless you pull it back to stay open. This gate is very stylish, simple and effective. Exactly what I needed

I love this gate. First one broke after a few years, so I replaced it with the same one. It is pretty easy for kids to open. Both my 4 and 6 yr old do it no problem. In my case that is what I want since I use it to keep the pets out of the playroom and want the kids to get through it
