A: At the factory we have coated the wood with a water repellent or stain. This coating decreases the amount of water absorption during rain or snow thus decreasing the tension in the wood. Our daughter is always climbing and hide-and-seeking, this has been perfect for her. It only took her a couple tries to fully scale the climbing wall, and how she likes to practice safely climbing back down with direction from us (one foot at a time, look where your foot goes!)

This is my sons favorite toy! He's 2.5 and uses it daily! Only down fall is 2 pieces of the wood was already split before we even put it together. We keep it inside so it shouldn't get any worse since it will not be in the weather. It's the perfect little house for quiet time and a fun climbing toy!

Didn’t come with all the parts ☹️ The loved one that was going to put it together for my children is no longer here. So when I finally decided to unbox it and put it together let’s just say it was chaos and to finally get half way done a week into installing it (I have multiple children w special needs) anywho I realized I was missing the parts and well I’ve had it for forever and like I said I was never supposed to put it together so. Idk goes it was fate glass half full life half full package half full😥😕

I'm a firm believer that you can assemble most things with a hammer and screwdriver, but I had to go out and finally invest in a power drill for this tent...and even then it took some elbow grease to put this thing together. Yes, the wood isn't super smooth, but my kid has touched worse things; I'm not worried about it. There is a piece of wood that was a bit split, but I don't think it fully compromises the tent itself. It's a children's toy and it's pretty sturdy. My son loves it so far and it has a nice earthy/spicy scent from the wood. I've looked for similar items and many either take a while to ship or are more expensive. For what you get, it's nice. It keeps toddlers entertained. I have mine indoors in his bedroom. It doesn't take up too much space.

Our kids are 2 and 6. They really love this toy! Our 2 year old uses it the most, especially the climbing wall. Our 6 year old likes to sit inside more than climb on it. I think our 2 year old will get a few years of use out of it. The wood split a little on the top, but not a huge problem.

Arrived with a huge long crack on one of the wooden roofs. So now I have to lug this huge thing back to Target or to UPS/Fedex just to get my money back. Pretty inconvenient.

I thought that once my 2yo climbed this once she'd be bored, but she could play with this one item all day long if we'd let her. The only downside is that it isn't varnished, so we've been keeping it on our porch: it'll probably get damaged in open weather if we don't seal it ourselves.

The wood needs to be sanded. My husband got numerous slivers putting this together. The wood is cracked. I bought this last year and had in my bedroom which is climate controlled for my visiting grandchildren last spring. Since they did not come bc of covid we are now assembling it for this years visit. It’s cute but not usable. It’s going to be unassembled snd brought to the dump

This is super cute and my babies love it. I have a 3 year old and a 2 year old. As mentioned it’s hard to do something once you’ve climbed to safely come down. The wood split several times even when being careful. Some of the wood was already split. I don’t think this is worth the $130, but we will keep it and see. We use our soft play set a lot more because it’s safer at this age. idk if it’s 3-10 years. I wouldn’t use it past 5. It probably wouldn’t entertain you anymore.

I thought it was simple to put together, took about 30 minutes or so; I didn’t use any power tools; had my 18 month old running around while I did it; I didn’t make any changes to it, no issues with splinters etc. it’s not smooth, but I doubt he’d get splinters from it; he loves it and surprisingly knew how to climb it:

High quality climber. The only issue we've had is that once our toddler is on top you can't get safely down the other side because it's a big window. He's figuring it out but we've put padding down on the floor. Until he gets up and down and figures it all out it won't go on a hard surface. Makes a nice teepee that they love to crawl in and out of.
