The kitchen has provided hours of fun and make believe for our 2 year old daughter! It was a big hit from the first time she saw it and it continues to be a staple in her daily playtime routine. She loves opening and closing the stove, refrigerator, and cabinets, cooking with her play food and pots & pans, and talking on the phone. The retro-style and blue color are fun and playful and are perfect if the kitchen sits in a main room like ours does. The kitchen is the perfect size for a couple kids to use at one time and it comes with all the features (even without the need for sound!). The kitchen did take about 3 hours to build, so make sure you set time aside to build it. All the parts were present and everything fit together nicely. The product is well made and the price tag is reasonable and on par with other wood and plastic kitchens (even less than many). We would highly recommend this play kitchen and so would our 2 year old!!
We bought this for a Christmas present, and I'm glad we did. Ordering anything in the internet can be daunting because who knows the quality of you have not purchased from the company before. Luckily, this was a great purchase and high in quality. Being a newish parent, I waited till Christmas Eve to put it together (def rookie mistake that I won't be repeating) and that was a bit of a bummer. I pulled all the pieces out and there were a few blemishes on the finish... as first I thought well, I'll go ahead and put it together and then exchange it, at least she can be excited when she sees it. However, upon completing the assembly, which was somewhat lengthy I decided it was not worth it to me to put another together and I'll just deal with the blemishes. Aside from that, the items materials are high in quality, I don't have any doubts this will outlast my daughters and be able to be passed on and lived by someone else. It's an attractive play set and has enough storage to House all the kitchen/cooking things to play with. I would recommend this purchase.
I bought this kitchen for my 18 month old for Christmas and not only does he love it but his big brothers have so much fun with it too! It is functional and very sturdy and it also is cute enough to not stand out like a sore thumb in my living room! I am in love with the color and how adorable it is! Definitely recommend!
After reading reviews of this item, I was afraid of the assembly process but it was not difficult at all. Yes, it took a while because there are a lot of pieces but hey, in the end I can be proud of my handy-work. If you can look at instructions, you can do this. You don't even need to know how to read to put this thing together. The pictures are not confusing. My only negative comment would be that one set of four plastic parts (door catches) arrived broken. However, I just emailed the company and they over-nighted a replacement. How can I be mad with service like that?
We bought this for our kids last christmas. Our son and daughter have loved playing house and restaurant. It is very cute, but really time consuming to put together. Also, after several months of playing many of the screws started falling out. We've replaced them, but for the price and effort I expect more.
