Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

Height

Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.
Chest

Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.
Waist

With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the flexes naturally. keep the tape level & comfortably loose.
Hip

Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.
Inseam

Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

I purchased this on sale after eyeing it in the store for awhile. My daughter loves it and I wish it looked as good on me as it does on her! It runs LARGE. The size 10/12 fits a women’s size XS with a little room. The padding is thick, the material is beautiful and inspiring, it has thumb holes and extra material that covers her fingers a little for warmth. The hood and interior are lined with fleece and the sleeves are padded. THIS is a quality jacket! This one will last through many children.

My daughter loves the purple color of this jacket and the shiny sleeves. She also likes the built in sleeve mittens to wrap around her hands. The puffer jacket is warm and heavy to keep her warm during the winter. Lots of good pockets including ones in the front that zipper to hold important items. Love the combination of shiny fabric and Sherpa

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket has a neat combination of an iridescent fabric along with a glittery Sherpa fabric. My daughter loved the lavender color. I am a fan of the Eskimo pockets on the front, as they include both a pocket to slip your hands into and an area that is secured with a zipper. This jacket is full zip on the outside. It does have one pocket on the inside closes with Velcro. It is fully lined with a cream fabric. In addition, it includes both a hook to hang this in your locker or classroom as well as a tag where you can write your child's name. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Look on trend in this shimmery purple puffer jacket. My daughter is 11 years old typically wears a size 12 or 14. She has pictured her wearing the size extra large and we felt like this fit her perfectly. It is the exact perfect length to wear with snow pants or even just to wear it to school she really liked the color and how warm the jacket was. It includes a hood that is definitely functional and can be worn when the weather is bitterly cold overall, we recommend this coat because it’s warm and on trend. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is 10 years old and on the smaller size so she tried on the size 8 and it fit her but we definitely could have sized up because although it fit, I think she will outgrow it fast over the winter. The jacket itself was adorable with a nice purple color and the shiny iridescent fabric on the front. My daughter said it was comfortable and nice and warm. There were two sets of pockets on the outside, which I really liked because one set had a zippers so you can secure things you do not want to fall out. There is also a small pocket on the inside that was cool as well. I received an incentive to write this review.
