Kids Sunscreen Lotion - SPF 50 - 10.4 fl oz - up & up™

I've used this product for years and never had any problems ;) I'm running out and it looks like Target doesn't have UP and Up screen any more :(. I hope they get it bac in cause that's the only one I use I used Neutrogena Ultra Sheer and tried others, but they have issues, this one is the only block that works :( I have to purchase else where :(

It was actually quiet hysterical that it wouldn't blend in and my son walked around for the afternoon looking like an alien with a light, purplish skin tone. He completely imbraced his new identiy of an out-of-this-world beign, so he loved it. But in all seriousness, I'm throwing it out. Like the other reviews, it leaves a residue impossible to rub in and takes a few baths/days to completely fade away. Absolutle no no no.

Does not wash off! Scrubbed my skin with soap and water and an exfoliating mit. Still there. 😳 no sun burn, so that’s great.. but I do need it to wash off with soap.

I use mineral sunscreens exclusively so I was excited to try this as it's really affordable. However it only 'rubs in' at best when your skin has just been moisturized. Even then you need a lot of elbow grease. I'm accustomed to white casts on mineral sunscreens but this one is perhaps the biggest white cast, it turns my skin and arms blue. It's a shame the forumlation isn't as run-in friendly as others. Eucerin mineral 50 is expensive but goes on like a chemical sunscreen - it is smoother.

It is thick and will leave a white residue, but it works! Kept us burn free at the lakefront all summer long.

Kept my kids sunburn-free for a week at the beach. Apply frequently and it works.

I definitely should have looked at the reviews before buying this sunscreen in store. The white cast this stuff leaves is insane, and no amount of rubbing made it look any better.

I have used this sunscreen for years. It has always been thick and tough to rub in. This last time I bought it, it literally never rubs in at all and leaves you totally white. Something has changed and not for the better. Who wants to look like a ghost when out in the sun? Very disappointed.

Didn't work! If Zinc oxide is 6.5% and that provides 1.6 yikes SPF plus 4.5% Titanium dioxide which provides 2.6 times SapF, that is only 22SPF. How do they get 50SPF? I have an older bottle from last year that is not expired. It has less of both ingredients which amounts to approximately 14SPF. My daughter and I used regular chemical sunscreen the last two days and didn't burn at all. Today we knew we would be out a little longer so we used the mineral sunscreen and reapplied 3 times over 3.5 hours and we are so burnt. We knew we were covered because we both had a white cast on our bodies. This just doesn't work.

It is messy and hard to rub in but I think it’s supposed to be that way. It works well in terms of protection.

A lot of the reviews are about the white cast. Definitely leaves a white film and is thick and not super spreadable. But If that’s what you’re looking for - great! Shorting the stars because of how hard it was to spread. Not my fave but again- if it’s what you’re looking for, it’s probably fine

This is great mineral sunscreen. For all those complaining about it not rubbing in and staying “white”…….? Hello. Do some research. There are mineral based sunscreens which are typically Zinc and titanium dioxide ingredients. They stay white, because they sit on the surface of the skin to protect. Mineral based sunscreens are usually less irritating to people with sensitive skin issues. They work immediately as well, you don’t have to wait 15 minutes before sun exposure or swimming. Then there is chemical sunscreens like your aerosols and ones that don’t leave any white cast. Those need longer to absorb into the skin, hence why you need to wait before sun exposure and swimming. But chemical sunscreens can be irritating to people more often than not and can sting eyes. This is a great sunscreen for this price and for the amount in here. Great option for kids. Also make sure you’re putting the recommended amount on your skin, you cannot stretch sunscreen, you won’t get the proper coverage. So make sure your following the directions and recommended amount.

Kept my kids sunburn-free for hours of beach play and swimming! Yes, it takes some scrubbing to get off in the shower but I would rather that than my kids getting burned! My oldest has very fair skin and burns easily, and we didn't even have to reapply during the 4 hours at the beach (which never happens with her skin!) Stocking up before our cruise to the Caribbean.

YES it turns you white like a ghost, mineral sunscreen does that. My issue is that TWICE it hasnt offered any sun protection. I put it on every 90 minutes, not sweating much on my arms (which weren't covered, so needed sunscreen) AND had no exposure to water....still burned like crazy. I applied over and over, turned everything I touched white and greasy, and you could see my skin red under the white cast. Same happened with my legs on a different day. Plenty of other brands do their job perfectly when applied as often as I do, this one doesn't AND is impossible to get off of your skin later. I have residue on me for days.

What cream stays on skin and won’t go away after subbing many times. Not even after a shower.

Absolutely terrible. I have never used a sunscreen so thick and difficult to smear in. Will be going back to badger sunscreen.

Love this for my son when he goes outside. I like that it leaves a white cast so I can see where I put it on. Lotion is kinda sticky but it dries ok. Good price for mineral sunscreen.

My kids and I are allergic to most non-mineral brands. We get rashes like the ones pictures in some of the reviews when we use other sunscreens. Please remember to try applying to a small area before lathering all over you! Yes it is thick and white but that is most if not all mineral sunscreens and you can’t beat this price

Horrific! My kids skin peeled off and became raw. They were in such pain for days until we figured out that this sunscreen was the problem.
