We ordered two of these beds for our kids room. The first bed took about 2-2.5 hours to assemble but wasn't too bad. The second bed we did the next day and it was very simple to put together. They are both very sturdy, especially with the desk installed. My advice would be that if you plan to install the desk and shelves, make sure you look at those instructions at the beginning. The instructions in the loft bed alone don't tell you how some of the pieces need to fit to make sure the shelves and desk will fit. We also added some lattice to the top bunk for extra safety and for a little more privacy for the kids.
Bought this for my teen grandson, He loves it and has given him a lot more room in his bedroom. No more doing homework on the floor. Very sturdy and he is only 13 and put this together by himself although I would advise most people have an adult as he is not the usual 13 year old......Definitely was a good gift and the service was exceptional fast.....
It does take some time but the instructions were good and the assembly was easy enough for my father-in-law to finish putting it together while I was at work. I was surprised! We love the desk space and the shelves. It does wobble a little but that was expected. We pulled off a room makeover while my son was on a week long field trip and he LOVES hit new setup.
Ordering from Target was first rate/top notch experience. First off, it arrived one whole day earlier. So that was awesome and unexpected during the busy Christmas season. The bed is pretty solid. Pretty easy to build, which I did by myself. Two people would have been much faster. My teenage daughter loves it and I'm sure will put to good use.
Not a bad bunk bed. The instructions were good. The only thing that caused us problems was the actual desk. The holes didn't line up where the screws were supposed to go so we were only able to get in 5 screws instead of 8 but it's not moving so it ended up being ok. My son likes the bed. I need to find a pool noodle to cut so I can zip tie them around the ladder, since the bars are small. It will just make getting up and down the ladder more comfy on the feet.
