Kill Doctor Lucky Anniversary Edition Board Game - image 1 of 1

About this item

Highlights

  • Origins Award winner for Best Abstract Board Game (1997)
  • Full-color, high-quality components including wooden pawns
  • Ages 12 and up. For 2 to 8 players
Kill Doctor Lucky was the very first Cheapass Game, a “pre-mystery” game in which the goal is explained in the title. Every player is a murderer visiting Lucky Mansion, and the first player to kill Doctor Lucky wins. But he’s not called “Doctor Lucky” for nothing: he’s notoriously hard to kill. This is the 19.5th Anniversary Edition of Kill Doctor Lucky, featuring all-new art by Israel Evans (Get Lucky). This edition contains dramatically updated rules, so it’s cleaner, faster, and more tactical than ever before. Kill Doctor Lucky was the Origins Award winner for Best Abstract Board Game of 1997, and it has been an evergreen seller for Cheapass Games (and for a time, Paizo Publishing), ever since.

The board is well-designed and colorful, and there are a bunch of variants to keep the game fresh. The two-person version is quite enjoyable and an entirely different ...see moreof the reviewer's review

This version is much prettier than the original and is much easier to decipher lines of sight than the previous version. At first I was disappointed with the omission of the spite tokens, but using exhausted cards as "reasons" for murder is a smart upgrade. This version is the best and was very fu...see moreof the reviewer's review
