A: Hi JHopkins, the Kinetic Sand Folding Sandbox does come with the classic Kinetic Sand. The Kinetic Beach Sand is a little different as its made with larger grains of natural sand and feels more like cool, wet beach sand. Hope this helps!

This is a great starter kit but I took off a star because I feel it needs more sand for such a large box. We bought two additional bags of kinetic sand and that helped a lot. But it’s a great way to store the molds and sand and easy to set/clean up.

I bought this for my child, we used it once, and I put it in the closet ever since because it’s so annoying to use. First, there’s a small amount of sand, so much less than I expected and not enough to do much with. The container isn’t flat on the inside so you can’t really build there either… so where are you supposed to play with the sand? Also since the instructions say you have to wash hands after playing, I worried the sand was just kind of gross. It’s also hard to store and I suggest it should come with a storage bag or container. Overall, I just wish I hadn’t bought this sand and will probably never use it again.

My kids love kinetic sand, but not the kind that came in this case. It just crumbles and is really dry. Can’t really do anything with it. Daughter was very disappointed, as she has played with kinetic sand before and never had this problem.

Got this for my niece on Xmas. She loves it. One thing I noticed is that there’s not enough sand to do much. Maybe there should be a bigger box with more sand that’s a little more expensive. That’s the only thing I noticed that I disliked.
