Wide, wide slicing ability. Used it on a tillamook cheese loaf and Lucerne, more than enough room and strength. This does make thick slices though, so if you don't want so much cut one slice then cut it up spacing out the pieces.  see moreof Anon's review

I bought this to cut cheese and it wouldn't even cut through the entire block of cheese. It wouldn't go all the way to the bottom of the block and you would have to pick up the block of cheese and pull it through leaving a very mangled piece of cheese at the end. Definitely would not work for entert...  see moreof LEM's review

This is just a cheap piece of trash. I gave this to my mother for a late Christmas present. After only two days, the darn thing broke and two of the screws fell out. It does not live up to its standards.  see moreof Erin Latta's review

I have used this less than 5 times and the wire has already separated from the screw on the end from slicing cheddar. It is now trash. Don't waste your money. And by the way, I paid a lot more than $7.99 at the Target store.  see moreof Kristy's review

I purchased this cheese slicer in my local Target for approximately 15% more than the price on this web site. Not sure why, but I needed one. I should have passed. Although dishwasher safe, the cutting wire was slack before I even sliced any cheese. I tightened it and then sliced a few sliced fro...  see moreof Robert's review
