Received my new mixer as a present and after the first use the coating chipped off and I had to toss out all the mixing because it had metal shavings all through it - for the price I thought this product was suppose to be A+ - afraid of what it is going to do next -- having problems finding a replac...see moreof the reviewer's review

I purchased a professional 5 plus mixer. When I opened the box beater was chipped. I returned it to the store for another one. I used once only to have a chip appear on the beater as I was washing it. I made sure it didnt hit bottom of bowl using a dime as recommended. The coating chipped off into my cookie dough on the first use. I’ve read reviews on the stainless steel and that one is just as bad. Come on Kitchenaid!see moreof the reviewer's review

It almost seems as if the metal is corroding underneath. It’s bumpy. I am very disappointed and don’t know what else to d...see moreof the reviewer's review

Why is it so difficult for you to provide the model numbers of mixers your accessories work with? The lack of specifications information throughout your site is appalling for a manufacturer’s site!see moreof the reviewer's review

Eating chipped enamel

I absolutely love my KitchenAid mixer! It has been running strong for 20 years. I love the attachments (especially the fruit strainer). The beater is the only exception. The enamel chipped off original beater, when it was just a few month old, so I called KitchenAid. The rep said it was my faul...see moreof the reviewer's review

I have had my Kitchenaid mixer for two years and just noticed the paddle is chipping. Does Kitchenaid replace defective paddles or do you have to purchase a new ne?
