Q: What is the difference between a Classic and a Classic plus?
A: Description says 250watts for the Classic and 275watts for the Classic pro. That is what the details say, I'm not 100% sure as I haven't received my Classic Pro yet and also the first answer says it's from the "Kitchen Aid Team" and I'd hope they would know so maybe it's a misprint in the details and like they say "color" options is the only difference. Then again color wouldn't make it for professional use in my opinion but more power would.
submitted byTarget Customer - 4 years agoA: I'm not sure how old this picture is but the Classic has 275 watts, not 250.
submitted byblendergirl - 3 years agoA: The only difference is color availability.

Q: how heavy is this stand mixer
A: Hi newbaker, The Classic Plus stand mixer weighs 25 pounds.
submitted byKitchenAidTeam - 4 years agoBrand expertA: This is an awesome mixer. Yes it is very heavy to lift but stays put on your counter when you're mixing on high speed. My last Mixer on high speed moved so much it literally flew off my counter when i wasn't looking

Q: Shouldn't there be a spring on the classic to hold the whip down
A: Hi Shsri, KitchenAid made the decision in 2016 to no longer place the spring on the beater shaft on all Classic and Artisan Tilt Head Mixers. By removing the spring and washer on the shaft, it is a benefit as it leaves the beater shaft much easier to clean without the spring. It is also not necessary for the operation of the unit as the tools stay locked without them.
