Loving this Pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pan is great and very similar to a cast iron pan. What I love is that it’s made out of Nitro Carbon Steel so this pan does not rust. Cast iron rusts and it freaks me out that you still cook with a pan that rusted. So this is my new favorite. I live in a small space so not a lot of extra storage, so having things that serve multiple purposes are what work best for me . This pan not only cooks on a stove top, but also can be put in the oven and on the grill. You also can season your pan just like you would with a traditional cast iron pan. Since receiving this pan I’ve already gotten rid of a bunch of other type pans and oven stuff, which has freed up space and no longer need. A definite must in your kitchen.

I hope to have this pan for a long time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pan seems very durable and like it will last a long time. The heat distribution is even, and everything I have cooked so far has come out perfectly. It was easy to season and make non-stick. It is great for many different dishes.

CARBON STEEL COOKWARE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Kitchen Aid Carbon Steel Cookware 10' Open Frying Pan is the neatest pan I have ever seen. This pan performs like 3 pans in 1. Cast Iron, Stainless Steel, and Non-Stick like. For the non-stick, you have to season the pan, and it will build up to non-stick like. You could put this Kithen Aid Carbon Steele Cookware in temperatures up to 750°F - 400°C. You can also use metal utensils on this pan, and it will not scratch it. It is not dishwasher safe, but it should be pretty easy to clean. I would definitely recommend everyone to try this pan out when you cook up your next meal!

Something great about cooking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] : The Carbon Steel Cookware 10" Open Frying Pan is a robust and versatile addition to any kitchen, excelling in heat distribution and cooking efficiency. Its lightweight design and responsiveness make it a joy to use, though it does require some care to keep it in top condition. Ideal for those who appreciate the qualities of cast iron but desire something easier to maneuver. I hope this template provides a comprehensive overview of the Carbon Steel Cookware 10" Open Frying Pan. Remember, the key to a helpful review is to be honest, detailed, and clear about your experience with the product. Happy cooking!

Sauté away!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kitchen Aid Carbon Steel 10” Stir Fry is a great piece of cookware. It’s a well designed piece that’s easy to handle. It’s not too heavy making it easy to toss your stir fry. The 10” inch size is perfect for a good sized meal and easier to store. This wok is versatile and can do everything that a flat bottom sauté pan can. I’m excited to add this Stir Fry pan to my collection and add some new recipes to my collection.

Great Cooking Pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time trying a nitro carbon steel pan and I'm happy with it. The pan looks of great quality and it is heavy. I would love for it to be bigger but it has a decent size. I love the fact that it has 3 ways of use. In the stove, oven, and grill. I'm exited to try it on the grill for some bacon or veggies. I also like that you can you use any type of utensils. I'm really satisfied with this product.

Quick heat and Bru non-stick once seasoned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pan is awesome. All the versatility of a quality cast iron pan with quicker heat distribution and much less weight. The package includes a how-to season guide, but I recommend the "just cook with it" method. From my experience, just chop up some peppers and onions and add plenty of salt (you won't be eating these anyway, so you can't use too much). Clean throughly, then add pan to medium - medium high heat. It will heat very quickly, so the next step of adding high heat oil needs to happen fairly quickly. Once oil is heated, toss in your salted veggies and cook until done, tossing in the pan or with a wooden utensil. Dump the cooked veggies before they burn, and then clean pan. Once clean, add a small amount of oil and wipe with paper towels until it's visibly shiny and dry, then store. Your next cook should be non-stick.

KitchenAid Carbon Steel Frying Pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KitchenAid Carbon Steel Cookware 10” Open Frying Pan has great versatility and is lighter than a cast iron pan.. I really like that the pan can be used on the stove, in the oven and on the grille. I use the pan for frying fish and scallops.

Nice pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pan is a great alternative to cast iron, very durable. In terms of weight, this pan is a bit heavy which makes sense when compared to cast iron. I like the option for stove top to oven, very versatile pan.

Good but not great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pan is a good size and fries evenly, I really wish that when I got it I wouldn’t have done the actual putting it in the oven with oil because it looks old and isn’t very nonstick now. I do like the size though!

So sorry to hear you’ve had issues with food sticking. This is not an uncommon complaint, but it’s also one that is easily remedied with proper preparation. It’s important to remember that your NITRO Carbon pan isn’t pre-seasoned out of the box, but like cast iron, the pan will become well seasoned overtime and begin to develop nonstick-like properties. Just like cast iron, the more you cook with your pan using butter or oil, the more seasoned it will become and the less likely food will be to stick. To avoid burning food, we suggest starting on medium-low heat and working your way up as needed. We also recommend to avoid cooking stickier foods (like eggs, cheese, or tofu) until your pan is well seasoned. To remove food residue stuck to the pan, you can simmer a little water in the pan on the stove for 3–5 minutes to help loosen the residue, then clean it normally. You can also try making a paste of coarse salt and a little water and using that instead of soap to remove the residue. Then dry the pan with a soft cloth. This little pan is a beast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this pan a few times now to make eggs. It's a very nice pan and you can basically treat it like a cast iron skillet. It will season over time so you don't want to roughly clean it. It heats up nice and evenly (which I highly recommend doing before you add you food for cooking). It cooks everything nice and evenly. I'm really excited to continue to make food in this skillet and plan on using it for years to come!

Nonstick? Maybe not.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried with this pan, and I have used nonstick fofever because I prefer it, but I can cook with regular pans too. This pan did not pass the test with me. I really wanted it to work, I also went to the trouble of using avocado oil and the oven to season it a bit. I will say I did not give it the full hour in the oven because of the awful fumes it created in the house. I have a parrot and I worried it would effect him in the other room. I am disappointed because maybe that's the reason why it did not work out for me, but of it requires that much effort for the nonstick to work, I'm not patient enough to wait. Plus I don't want to cook things like my sausage I cooked that will stick and burn and go to waste just to get my pan primed for cooking everyday. Maybe it would work if I used it more, but I'll just stick to my other pans and not waste food.

Obsessed with this pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical at first, I love the ease of putting pans in the dishwasher, but when I realized just how good this pan was I was forever changed! It doesn’t stick very much at all, and is easy to get to the perfect temperature. It is a dream for searing chicken or steaks!

Won’t Stop Sticking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This could be user error, but no matter what I do, food won’t stop sticking to this pan! I’ve followed all of the directions when it comes to seasoning the pan, but for some reason everything that I cook on it sticks. I will try to season the pan again and continue to use it to see if any other methods help, but so far I’m not impressed. I love the size, style, look and the fact that I can put it in the oven, but if it continues so stick like it does now, I won’t be able to use it.

Poor qualit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a Carbon Cookware Open Stir Fry for free from Influenster and Kitchen Aid in exchange for my honest review. It was really nice looking, beautiful pan before I started cooking. My first dish the shrimps with spaghetti and I was extremely gentle. My pan got small dark dots on the bottom of the pan and visible discoloration, it wasn’t as bad, but I noticed. My second dish a stew with beaf and potatoes, and it started sticking to the bottom even on a small heat and enough oil and water. You may see black burning on the bottom, it gave me really hard time to get rid of it. I have other pans and cook those dishes every couple weeks and I have never had such problem before. It is not a nonstick pan. Kitchen Aid needs to improve it, I’m disappointed.
