Never worked correctly
I've had this machine for 5 years, and from day one it never sounded good (high pitch whining). I unfortunately didn't understand if that's how it was supposed to be or not and never ended up having it warrantied (it was a gift and I didn't want to make the gift giver feel bad for getting me a bad gift)... Anyways it's sat on my counter for years and I always pull out an old hand mixer or whisk because it's awful. Without a doubt the mixer has less than 5 hours of use in the whole time I've owned it. Now it's too late to do anything about it, so it was just a huge waist of money. I absolutely wouldn't buy another KitchenAid Mixer.

Great mixer - longevity to be determined
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Great mixer - longevity to be determined. Really enjoy using this versitile mixer for baking, but after only two years of moderate to light use, the motor is starting to make strange noises (and out of warranty, of course). Time will tell how long it lasts.

My favorite appliance
Can’t believe it’s been three years. My mixer stands on my counter for frequent use. I really like the color and glad I have the bigger size. I’ve learned to make macarons and glad I bought some additional bowls.

Magic in the kitchen
I love KitchenAid. I had a KitchenAid stand mixer and loved it so much. I got one for each of my daughters for Christmas. I saw the KitchenAid lift mixer on sale and wanted to try it. I purchased the pasta attachment for myself. I absolutely love this mixer. I can do so many things with it and I use it often. I chose the green because the color was cool. I gifted my mom my tilt head mixer that I had for about 20 years and she loves that one. Do you guys make a great product? I’m thrilled.

Good but starting to fail
I bought my Professional 5 Series Plus mostly to knead doughs. I do not bake every week and when I do is rarely more than a 500 g dough. It's been great to use for these past five years but just as it turned 5 it started to give some problems. Right now the lower speeds don't always work or have a lag before it starts. Also it becomes hot very quick. My aunt had a KitchenAid in the 90s and it's still going but this newer model doesn't seem to be built to last the same.

money well spent
I bought this product to help with my homemade buttercreams. Hand mixers were constantly being burnt out and a long process of holding and moving it. So I went out and o bought Kitchen Aide lift bowl, best decision ever. It makes every job easier and quicker because I can do other things while it mixes. Very dependable as well!!!

Classic
I’ve been a professional chef for 25 years and quite familiar with the workhorse that is a KitchenAid mixer, but became familiar with it being a home-cooking game changer after receiving a Pro 5 model as a gift a few years ago. It’s perhaps the most reliable tool in my kitchen and I see it sticking strong with me for decades.

Love it!
I have had my mixer for about a year now and still love it. It has a powerful motor and large bowl. I can make multiple batches of cookies, brownies, and dough. I have carpal tunnel in both hands, my mixer let's me bake without the pain.

It’s ok
From the first time I used it it sounds like it’s running rough. I didn’t think too much about it until making cookie dough this year it’s started to get warm by the motor cover.

Poor quality
I bought this 2 years ago and with one year it started overheating easy and now right before the 2 year mark it started smoking while in use.

Terrible Product
This mixer was given as a Christmas gift in December 2022. The quality of the product is rough with sharp edges. I’ve tried to adjust the mixer using the dime test and it didn’t really make much difference. The solid head makes it more work than it’s worth, so I resorted to using my hand mixer. I have tried using this product for different things about 6-8 times and nothing I do makes it any easier. Would NOT recommend. Very disappointed to say the least, as everyone I know love theirs. But they all have tilt heads.

Great for most things
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works great for most things, seems to struggle a little with bread dough kneading. I bake a lot of bread so I hope it holds up. It gets the job done though.

The Most Impractical Appliance I’ve Ever Owned
I received a typical hand mixer as a wedding shower gift way back in 1987. As I ventured into more complicated baking / cooking, I found the small mixer inefficient and was thrilled to receive a stand mixer as a Christmas gift. That Sunbeam stopped working a few years ago, and my wonderful husband delighted and surprised me with the expensive Kitchen Aid. The 1987 hand mixer was better. I don’t mind having to manually raise and lower the bowl so much; it’s the fact that adding ingredients while mixing is impossible (the stuff goes everywhere except the bowl (forget the useless shield), no beater ever reaches deeply enough into the mixture, and the single beater NEVER sufficiently or completely mixes anything. I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!
