the dough hook is damaged and there are several threads online that states that it could contain lead, I am scared now and there is no stainless steel option for this model. when contacted the customer care said that I might need to order a replacement at my own expense.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this mixer for Christmas. Bowl will not stay still when raised and mixing bread dough or anything thicker than egg whites. Customer service referred me to YouTube for better instructions on use, but I cannot locate. Also, coating already coming off large mixing attachment. I have only used 5-6 times since December.

This model reminds me of standing next to my grandmother and making baked goods to sell in her market. I chose the pastel blue color because it's like a 1950's color and looks exactly like the one my grandmother had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had nearly the same model for 13 years, and it worked great until the day it died. So I bought this one as a replacement five months ago. I have mostly made bread with the hook attachment. The first few times I used it, it sounded awful. Like the motor was going to give out just from kneading a soft dough. The motor got hot quick, and it smelled like it was burning. However, after a few months of using it, it no longer smells - I'm guessing it was just the fact that it was new, and maybe had some lubricant it had to burn off. It also doesn't act like it's going to die anymore. It's holding up well to be used almost every day. It actually seems like it's getting better over time. I had concerns at first, but I think it was just a new machine working out its kinks. Overall, now that it has been a while, I am satisfied, if a little weary, given the beginning of its use.

I wiggle the cord on the back of the mixer. Eventually I get it to start. My old lift stand mixer doesn't have any problems. Disappointed.
