[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this recently to replace a different brand bought in the 90's. The new one surpasses the old one in many ways but the battery operation is the best. I can quickly use and wash the blender and be on my way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered over a month ago and still not have received it. Tracking still only shows a label has been printed and item has not yet been given to shipping company. I've called KitchenAid twice and both times they've just said i need to wait longer.

I've owned 3 hand blenders & this is, by far, the best. All three were equally good for soups, but this one can handle the frozen fruits & veggies in my smoothies much better. Definitely worth paying a bit more for the higher quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In other reviews, I was warned that the safety feature was cumbersome. I found I had no problems whatsoever in using this hand blender. I made my very first pasta from scratch using this tool (mashing carrots for recipe)! Can’t wait to use it for butternut soup.

Powerful for a Cordless Immersion Blender

I bought this to use for making my own butter, jams, jellies and sauces. Ease of use: could be better as there is no way to control the speed of it. It is either on or off. The stick is really tall when put together for use. Almost too tall when using it on countertop or stove, but then I am 5'4". I have to use my little step stool so that I can clearly see what I am doing. Very easy to clean. The blade detaches by turning it off the handheld part where the battery is located. Battery: it lasts about 15 minutes, and it takes about an hour to fully charge. I also have the corded KitchenAid Immersion Blender, which is much more powerful as to be expected. Living off grid, I am purchasing/replacing all my appliances (except my KitchenAid Stand Mixer) to cordless. It uses very little watts when charging. Sorry I can't remember exact watt usage when charging. For my needs it does the task very well, just a couple of items that could be better. Overall happy with my purchase.

Amazing quality. Works amazingly. Has great power. Very ergonomic and comfortable holding/hand placement. The only negative I see is where the charging plug needs to be inserted. It’s in between the attachment and the top. If it was to leak liquid in between there, the whole thing would be broken. Way too expensive to have it break in such a silly way.

Bought this a year and a half ago as a gift for my girlfriend. Worked well initially. Now the battery will not charge. Plugged in and charging light flashing red and will not change state even after 7 hrs plugged in. Called support and KA does not sell replacement battery nor do they have the part number to search for one. Warranty only a year so my GF/I are out of luck. I have several KA countertop appliances and this is the only one to have been sub par… everything else has been great. Very disappointed.
