Q: Comes apart to clean or do I have to just try not and get the whole thing wet?

A: Hello, thank you for reaching out. The waffle maker does not disassemble for cleaning. Do not immerse appliance in water or other liquids. To remove any batter baked onto the cooking plates, pour a small amount of cooking oil onto the hardened batter. Allow to set for 5 minutes, then wipe softened batter off with a paper towel or soft cloth. Remove stubborn stains with a plastic mesh puff or pad. For best results, use only products with directions stating that it is safe for cleaning non-stick cooking surfaces. Do not use steel wool or coarse scouring pads. Thank you - BELLA customer service

I bought this 8 or so years ago (it’s a different color now) and mine is still working well!! The trick is not to completely fill up the waffle tray. Before it completely cools I wipe it down with a paper towel. Once it’s cooled I use a scrub brush and clean it that way with a tad of water and soap but don’t run the entire thing under the water, I pour water on the plates with a cup to wash away the soap.

Good Waffle Maker but Waffles come out soft

This is a good compact Belgian waffle maker, but I have used 3 different waffle batters and the waffle is created but its not crispy on the outside its really soft and sometimes gooey and that's an issue for me. I was planning on making waffles everyday. I may find another one.
