The people who are leaving bad reviews clearly don’t like almond flavor. These are amazing!!! Taste like an almond poppyseed muffin! Feels like I’m eating dessert for breakfast!

Yuuuck! I love all the other Kodiak mixes, but this one reeks of almond extract and has a mediciney flavor. I was complaining to my sister about it and she agreed completely and had her own bad experience with it. Go for birthday cake instead.

Love Kodiak brand pancake mixes because they're easy to prepare and the ingredients are healthful/tasty. My only complaint is that it's expensive for only 18 ounces. All the pancake mixes should contain 24 oz like the buttermilk and honey variety (which I mainly buy for that reason alone).
The almond poppyseed is so incredibly good.

the almond simply isn't my favorite flavor in the world. however, i love, love and love poppyseeds. i do keep these on hand, but they are quite almond forward. so if you love almond, you will probably love these!

After mixing in the water I thought I mightve grabbed a bowl used for cleaning. That's how bad the smell was. It gave me a headache. I checked and it all smells like almond cleaning supplies. I already spent the money so I decided to continue cooking it. If I pour on the Maple syrup I can make it edible but best not to breathe through the nose.

Let me start by saying I love both almond anything and Kodiak Cakes. But the sharp smell/taste of almond extract was extremely overpowering (at least from the box I got). Like, it actually smelled boozy. I assume I got a bad batch. I was able to mix it 1:3 with the buttermilk mix, but on its own it was completely inedible :(

Tired of boring, plain pancake/waffle mix? Try this one. I had them yesterday with just whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries. The sublte flavor is obvious if you like Almonds and Poppy Seeds. I highly recommend them.

This is an odd flavor. At first, I was unsure, but I think I’ve decided I like it. It’s unique but maybe not for everyone? We often eat pancakes with peanut butter or applesauce, but those flavors don’t quite work here. I ended up eating the pancakes plain. They turned out a bit thin but a very good texture. Overall—I like it. But if you are skeptical of new flavors, especially an almond extract type flavor, maybe this is not for you. If you like almond extract, I’m sure this is perfect.
