The Krash! Dazzle Green Mohawk youth size helmet has 5 LED lights that illuminate the green fin mohawk! The lights power on and off with a button located at the back of the helmet, and the lights can be set in steady or flash mode! The youth size helmet is recommended for riders 8–14 years old, but will fit anyone with a head measuring 54–58 cm.

A: Hi Joe, thank you for your inquiry! The lights have an auto shut off feature to preserve battery life. Batteries are not replaceable, unfortunately. Hope that helps!

My Son Loves this Helmet, but don't just buy for the light part

My son is 7 with a normal sized head and it fits perfect. I originally bought for the light up fin, so he could right at night...but it's not really practical. It turns on for about one minute and then turns off automatically. It's a cute option for fun, but not for safety. He does love it just because it's cool looking. Holds up well too.

My son loves the helmet but we didn’t realize the light doesn’t stay on. It automatically shuts off after about 2-3 mins. We wanted it for night time riding around the camp sites. The batteries also can not be replaced
